Don't fight the depression, the more you try to fight it the angrier and more anxious you get and you will tend to focus on your mood more!. The best way to start to get better is to learn about the illness and how the way you think can affect it!. Try to get fresh air every day, even if you only open a window!. in winter a SAD lamp should help!. Gentle exercise a few mins a day will help your mood even if its a walk down the garden and back!. Volunteering at an animal shelter ( just grooming or cuddling nervous animals) will again help!. Read self hypnosis and other Cognitive behavioural books, learn relaxation and maybe ask someone to help you with this or to just listen to you when you need it!. I was told change your thoughts and you change your world!. When in despair on waking just think 'another day closer to getting through it', cause if you don't go through it you can't come out of the other side of the depression!. All illness have a start, middle and an end!. You are at your turning point with your suicidal thoughts!. just know that you are strong enough to recognise these thoughts and they are the start of you getting better, by allowing it to happen, you will eventually allow it to pass!. Please look after yourself and I hope you start to feel on the road to your recovery soon!. All the best!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The side effects are NOT worse than the depression!! Usually, the side effects may be strong at first, but once your body gets used to them, they'll become minimal to non-existant!. The side effects are so small when compared to you living a normal life again! It seems like you've tried so much, so other than counseling, I would say go to the doctor about medication, it's most likely chemical!. Get this under control and go back to living life freely again!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've only been fighting it for around 2 years!.
I'm taking my third prescription for antidepressants!. (Lexapro, Pexeva, and Celexa)
I needed these pills to stop the suicidal thoughts so counseling can help me!. Every day the thought of putting the barrel of my shotgun into my mouth got more and more compelling!. It actually looked beautiful to me, like the best idea ever!.
I have 3 triggers, work, finances, and family and I'm stuck with all 3 for at least the next 2 years!. I came really close to just walking away and never returning, but a really great friend convinced me not to!.
I was off the pills for a couple months last year, but I slipped back down!.
I don't care if I have to be drugged for the rest of my life, as long as I don't get the suicidal thoughts back!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

1!. If you are on medication, try to ween yourself off it (but not too quickly - gradually reduce the amount and/or frequency over a period of 3 to 6 months)!. If you achieve it, that in itself will give you something to feel good about!
2!. I have found over the years that giving yourself something to look forward to will give you a lift!. It needn't be something big or even cost you money - I used to order something by post (even something free like a catalogue) and then I would look forward to the post each morning!.
3!. Your mental attitude needs training, too!. Be more positive about things - you may have heard the phrase 'It's not a failure, it's a learning opportunity'! Turn negatives into positives!.
4!. Find someone to love!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My mum had just been diagnosed with depression, so it's all very new to me - i hadn't really thought about it untill now when it's actually heppened!. Shes on tablets and they make her feel sick and shes lost her appetite and doesnt go out as much which is horrible to see!. I'm not sure about the cure but so far my answer would be no as the tablets do make her feel worse!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Depression is cause by a certain chemical imbalance in the brain, which only medication and therapy will help!.I was depressive when I was younger but not anymore!.It's hard to live with it because you feel down all the time, but there's always hope no matter what happens!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I really feel for you!. I was considered depressed way back when I was in grade school now I'm 61 years old and I do feel better now!. I was on paxil and quanpin fodr about 12 years and than I figured it was time to take control of my life myself, of course I had good friends by my side!. I also turned to the Lord He made me feelbetter but it was still there I am off the meds but now again I still get a bit depressed, I've been devorced after 27 years of marriage so make a point to remember life can be hell for you and your spouse, although I later found out after my divorce that he had c!.o!.b!. and I didn't see it while I was married to him well I guess that's just a little of my experiences but by far not all!. I wish I could write a book!. good luck AprilWww@Answer-Health@Com

My mother has depression!. And she was the same way you are now!. She learned that depression is a disease!. Just like for example diabetes!. And are you gonna sit there and not give a diabetic insulin!? NO! My best advice for you is to go on medicine!. It might take a while that find one that works for you but that's just part of it!. Things won't be easy for you but you were dealt depression in your life because you are a strong person and can handle it!. My mom is 40 yrs!. old and has suffered from depression almost all her life!. She calls herself a proud survivor and even though the fight is tought she keeps fighting it!. Medicine will help you I promise, and also ask you doctor about a sleeping pill to help you sleep at night!. It can help you go to sleep without thinking alot before you go to bed!. That's the time when people worry the most!. Surround yourself with people that love you and support you and don't let anyone bring you down!. Good luck! I really am glad to maybe have helped you! I would also suggest finding a counselor you like!. Talking to one can give you the tools you need to cope with your depression!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I suffered with depression for a few years!. It's a horrible feeling and very dangerous!. Fortunately there are several things you can do that I believe will help!. How do I know because I've done them and they worked, and I've also seen them work for others!. First, medication is very important!. You must find a good Doctor that understands your illness and proper medication must be taken!. There are medications that do not have terrible side effects, so don't be bashful when consulting with your Doctor, remember it's you trying to get well not him!. Second, you must educate yourself about your illness understanding why you feel the way you do, so read and learn as much as possible!. As hard as it may sound you must exercise everyday to music you like, you must meditate and rest your mind to alieve the circulatory thoughts that is a symptom of depression!. You must eat properly, and sleep normal!. And, the most important thing of all is buy a book on cognitive bahavioral thinking, and learn how to counter bad or depressing thoughts with good thoughts!. Cognitive theraphy works and will help get you on the road to recovery!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
