Scared to go far from home?!

Question: Scared to go far from home!?
I have generalized anxiety disorder and I'm uncomfortable being far from my home, I feel that something is going to happen to me, like I'll die of a heart attack or something crazy like that, or that I'll have a really bad anxiety attack b/c I'm uncomfortable in my new surroundings and that I won't be able to calm myself down!. When I have an anxiety attack they literally seem to go on for hours, they're not a quick thing that passes!. I do have Xanax to take as needed, but I'm still afraid, I'm supposed to go on a 3 hr trip w/ my bf next week and I am very anxious about being away from home, and also the long drive to get there, what if something happens in the car in the middle of nowhere!?!?!? How do I calm myself down enough to go and have a good time, I do not want this to control my life!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
You need to relax and calm down a bit,we all feel anxiety and to some degree, some feel it more than others!.Do activities that can calm you down and enjoy the time you will be with your boyfriend!.If it really bothers you while your not at home, talk to him about it,he will help!.

If you feel that the anxiety is getting out of control, you might need some medication that acts as a sedative!.I took some when i was younger, there not dangerous and you do not need to take a large dose!.They are pretty effective, you won't feel dizzy and numb, you'll just be more calm!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
