Please help I need advice?!


Question: Please help I need advice!?
I have generalized anxiety disorder I have been doing really good, but I am scared about an upcoming overnight trip I'm supposed to go on next week!. It's about a 3 hour drive and I'm really worried that something will happen on the way there or once I get there, such as a car accident, or something happening to me, like I'll have some medical emergency or just go into a panic attack that won't stop and I won't be able to calm myself down and my meds won't work!. Is this at all logical!? Can anyone suggest coping techniques to go and have a good time!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

yeah i have the same crap except when i go out of town my anxiety go's away!.!.!.but yeah it happens the fear of death or something going wrong!.!.!. just breath and remember that it will pass, all of em have for me!.!.!. you just gotta take it and you will realize nothing will happen!.!. of course it could but you really rob yourself thinking like that!.!.!.this trip could be a really damn good time comin up think of how much fun u will have etc and when you start gettin the barage of negative thoughts just tell your self to shut the f up!.!.!. works for me!.!.!. just a tip too stay away from sugar and caffeine!. also excercise i prefer going on hikes in the mountains there is no better therapy then that!.!.!. omega 3's and 6's and a B vitiman complex will work wonders, also a multi vitiman wont hurt!.!.!. but the sugar and caffeine fuel your anxiety so watch out for them!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

These thoughts are somewhat logical, because any normal person will worry like that!. But, they will also understand that they could be being irrational and that the liklihood of something bad happening is slim!.

I suggest going to the doctor and having him give you a temporary perscription for anti-anxiety medication!.

try praying before you leave!.Remember you want die from a panic attack!.!.that will help you to stay calm!.!.Also breathing excercises will help when you have a panic attack!.!.They help you to relax!.!.!.Practice taking deep breaths and slowly let it out!.!.!.I hope this helps!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try this!. As you are going to sleep at night just keep repeating in your mind about 40 times "This trip will be great"!. I know it sounds dumb but it works for me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
