Don't worry!. What you're describing is completely normal!. Basically, that anxious feeling you get when your mind is awake but your body is still asleep comes from something called "sleep paralysis"!. The gist of it is that your brain has to make your body stay still so that you don't move when you dream!. But sometimes, you're body will "fall asleep" a second before your mind does, so that you feel like you are paralyzed and start to panic!. During lucid dreaming, which is what you were talking about when you can control you dream, its normal to feel the effects of sleep paralysis!.

I would suggest just to look up "sleep paralysis" and "lucid dreaming" on wikipedia!. It'll give you all the information you need!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Its just sleep paralysis, I have it too! Though its worse for me!. I feel that someone is watching me, that someone is sitting on my lets and holding my arms down, but as soon as I twich a finger, I can move again! Its normal, a lot of people have it!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Could be a phenomenon called sleep paralysis!. It is actually more common than previously believed!.

The theory behind it is that when we sleep, the brain cuts off voluntary muscle movements!. This is a defense mechanism meant to prevent you from acting out your dreams!. If this mechanism fails, one may sleepwalk, and this could lead you to serious danger!.

You may be conciously awake but the brain may still think it is asleep, therefore it still doesnt let you move until something happends to tell the brain to wake up!.

Some think this phenomenon is what explains the claims of alien abductions or being attacked by demons!. One may be experiencing a nightmare while during this sleep paralysis and trying to determine dream from reality becomes extremely difficult!. Episodes like these go back centuries!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
