Question: Should I be forced to have a discipline card!?
Why are people with ADHD forced to have a discipline card that the teacher has to sign even if we have done nothing wrong!?

I have ADHD and they always have me on a discipline card as well!. I am on it when I don't act up!.
My grade advisor always tells me that I am not on it because I am bad, but because she wants to monitor me everyday so if something is upsetting me she is able to do something about it before it gets all out of hand!.
Would be good if she told the teachers that I am not on it for being bad though!. Some of the teachers look at you like you're going to act up straight away just because you hand it to them at the start of the class!. One teacher made me sit on my own away from my friends at the start of a class just because I gave this to her!. She then wondered why I acted up!.
Most of the comments by teachers on the card aren't bad, and some times I go a whole week without a bad comment!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

A label such as ADHD tells people before they even meet you that you are more trouble then not, maybe this is why!?
Sometimes schools do a injustice letting others know of diagnoses!.
Do you take drugs for yours!? I found them to be of no use!.
Why not say something about this and how it is making you a target !? If your parents are not doing anything about it go hire up in the "food" chain!?
When young we were just considered "bad kids"!. Smart though!! ADHD is a smart persons condition, something the "others" do not want out (they have problems keeping up with the kids with it)!.

You probably have given the teachers a hard way to go in the past, and yes, if they think the discipline card will help you, they will give you one!. Their signatures let you and your parents know how well you do each day!. It is called "shaping" in the teacher world!. It is designed to help you shape your behavior gradually over time!. I never heard of this before, but personally I don't agree with it!. It would have been a form of embarrassment to me!.
Whatever happened to the parent-teacher conference!. Teachers in my day confronted these same type of behavior challenges from kids, but they were able to control a student by themselves or with the help of the principal or a phone call to the parent!.
