I fear something will happen to my daughter at night?!

Question: I fear something will happen to my daughter at night!?
My daughter is 4yrs old!. She is my first and only child!. Ever since she was born my biggest fear was SIDS I dont know why but it was!. Well she is now 4 and I still fear something will happen to her at night while she is sleeping!.(choaking, suffocating, falling off the bed and breaking something, sleep apniea) I have resorted to keeping her in my bed and often wake up SEVERAL times through out the night to check on her and see if she is ok!.

*How can I comfort my fears!?
*Is this normal behavior!?
*Am I an over protective/ worried mother!?
*Why do I have these fears!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
By most people's definitions, this behavior is excessively protective!.

However (and I know that many will disagree with me), if this type of activity does not interfer with the other aspects of your life AND if you were truly not concerned with it, there is no compelling reason to do anything about it!.

And again, however, you have now expressed a concern about it!. It seems as though this activity may be bothering you directly!. If this is the case, the best thing to do is to consult a professional!. A medical doctor can get you started and will likely refer you to a mental health professional!.

The condition that you describe could be easily classified as an obsessive-compulsive disorder which is a recognized condition nowadays!. Treatment for such a thing is easily available and is often effective!.

Knowing these things now, you can make a decision!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

hello!. You are fearing the loss of someone most precious to you!. Have you had someone die that was very close to you, or a parent leave you, or maybe even if you are adopted!. These are normal fears!. You are not crazy!.
We just need to find out how to control these fears!. I think if you change the fear into something else!. Trick you brain in to something else!. Whatever that may be!.
Also, what ever you believe religious or not, there is a higher energy than us!. Everything happens for a reason!. Good luck and I hope that this helped!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes, all of those things could happen to your daughter!.
however you shouldn't worry, anyone could be worried about things like these, but it's not like this is likely to happen or something!.
Maybe you are over protective, but I guess it's just love for your daughter!. try to sleep well yourself and you'll be more relaxed and thinking less about things like these!.
maybe you have these fears because you've had experience with someone close to you!?
Take care

I think part of the fears stims from her being your only child!.

Then again you could have anxiety issues too!.

Do you know how to pray!? if so I would recommend thatWww@Answer-Health@Com
