Why do I always nap during the day? And, why do I feel most active at night?!


Question: Why do I always nap during the day!? And, why do I feel most active at night!?
Ok, ok!.!.!. it's summer vacation for me right now!.!. and I'm right outta high school too! Class '08! Now I'm free for this summer until college starts in fall!. And now I usually hit the hay around 2-3 A!.M!. I mean!.!. it's no different than when I was still in high school!. I'd go to bed around 1 A!.M!. Yes, yes!.!.!. I would DRAG at school the next morning!. But I felt ok by the mid-morning and high noon!.!. but at evening when the sun set and the light peeked through the window in beams!.!.!. I fell ASLEEP!. It's like 5:30 p!.m!. or so!. and don't wake up until 8:00p!.m or something!. Now that it's summer I'm like a night owl!.!. most of my creative ideas occur at night and night is when my bain feels "active"!.!. like I could draw something really big or study and remember it!. When school starts I can't continue the way I am now!. Why do I feel like this at night, so!.!. restless!? And I'm NOT hyper and don't eat large amounts of sugar before bed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's not uncommon for people your age!. Also a lot of teens and young adults have problems going to sleep until late night and find it really hard to wake up in the monrings!.

Sleep patterens change with age!. You know how babies need lots of naps but don't always sleep for many hours at a time!. The ederly do the same thing!.

Another thing that might be causing this, is that since it is summer and your out of school your regular daily routine has change, so in following, your nighttime routine would change too!.

As long as this isn't too disruptive in your life, like work or such, try to relax and go with it!. There isn't anything wrong with a good day time nap, and go ahead and let your mind be as creative as it wishes at night!. You might be amazed at your self when you relax and let your natural clock work in it's own way!.

When it gets closer to school staring, practice a different day time routine that slowly gets closer to your school routine!. Do as much as you can to perpare for your school morning the night before, such as pack lunch, lay out clothes, so you can sleep in a bit!. If it gets too bad after school starts, it would be a good idea to talk to a Dr!. They can help you with nighttime relaxation, or if bad enough there is good non addcitive meds to help with sleep, now days!. They may also check if there is some medical reason!. a night owl!. it sounds like you have your sleep cycle mixed up!. You could try to stay up all day, no naps and try to fall asleep closer to a more normal time!. You could try natural sleeping pills or just some relaxing stuff!. the great thing about college is that there are classes all during the day!.
