Accomplish big things in little steps!. The trick is to learn what the other person's reactions usually are!. Once you have confidence in that, you can interact with most people with no problems!.

And there is a difference between shyness and social phobia (i!.e!. social anxiety disorder)!. social phobia causes you to run and hide in terror, or have anxiety attacks, when exposed to social situations!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is a good question because I used to be very shy when I was a kid!. In many ways it dominated my life; I wasn't good at socializing and I preferred to be alone most of the time because I couldn't deal with people (mainly because most people have no respect for others)!.

However, as I grew older and started becoming an adult, I gradually gained the skills and confidence to deal with people!. The main thing you have to do is just enable yourself; learn the things you want to learn, become the person that you wish you were (everybody has it in them; your desires and admirations reflect a deeper part of yourself), and have confidence that you are doing the best in the things that you do!.

Also it's a big help to make sure you are in a comfortable environment, especially socially!. Find friends that are genuinely supportive and kind to you!. When you from good bonds with these kinds of people, it helps you to become stronger on your own, which enables you to handle strangers better!. Cultivate positive relationships!

Don't forget that shyness is just a feeling that you want to get rid of, but it doesn't mean that you have to totally change your lifestyle!. I still enjoy spending a lot of time alone (there's nothing wrong with that), but now that I've recovered from shyness, I enjoy how I interact with other people much more!. In my belief, you need balance in life, and you should find happiness in both your solitary and social life!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am an extremely shy person myself, and the advice that helped me (not that I can say I am confident now, but I am far less shy) is actually advice from my father, which he said never think that anyone is better than you!. You are just as good as everyone else, and everywhere you go just walk with your head held high, and always remember who you are and be that person 100% of the time!.

I hope this helps you in some way!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ever since I was young I have always been shy in everything!. I was shy in talking to people, I was shy in school, shy in sports, shy everywhere!. I wouldn't even go to dances or go anywhere, because I was so shy!. My mom would always get upset and say that since I was so shy I appeard stuck up!. (which in some cases was very true, because I hardly talked at all)
The reason I was shy was because I was always self concious, I was afraid to interrupt anything, and I didn't like going out of my way to talk to people!.
But now I've gotten over it!. I've learned that if I just try and go out of my way, talk to people, do things a little at a time, then people started talking and enjoying be around me!. And the more I did it, the easier it got!. It now is to the point where I'm not afraid at all anymore!. I'm not really shy at all and I do everything all the time!.
My opinion is, if you you are shy because you are self concious then find a way to get over that and fix it!. But if you are shy, just because you are scared, then try going out of your way just a little, or have your friends help you, and it will become way easier, and you will be way happier over time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You have to try!. Period!. Get out there and become familiar with what makes you uncomfortable, and then understand that to overcome what's uncomfortable, you have to step into it a bit, like meeting people, for example!. You have to try to meet people and keep trying until it becomes comfortable!. Then it will be a lot easier!. You may fall flat on your face or make an *** of yourself a few times, but you know what!? Who really cares!? Life is short, and if you want to overcome something, you have to dive into it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The only thing that helped me was to take a public speaking class in college!. It was a requirement for graduating, and I paid for it-I def!. didn't want to fail it!. The class teaches you so many tricks, and by the end of it, I was conversing with people like a pro!. Good luck!. Just remember, you're a great person with something to say, and you shouldn't let being shy defeat you! Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
