Question: How do you tell someone you've been molested!?
For anyone who has been molested, you know that you always want to tell one person!. However im scare they might not like me anymore, what do i do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am very sorry to hear that you were molested!. I can't imagine how terrible that must feel to have to go through that!. I think that you should tell somebody about this - an adult that you can trust!. Like a parent, teacher, clergy member, or counselor!. These professional people will not judge you because it is not your fault that you were molested!. Nobody asks to be sexually violated!. A helpful word of advice that I can give you is not to wait to tell somebody about this!. I have a sister who was molested by our step-father, and she waited four years before telling anybody about it!. Because of this, the man was not convicted, and he is still out in the world with full access to children!. Not telling someone about this will only make you suffer and hurt inside!. The person that molested you deserves to go to jail where he belongs, so that he doesn't do that to anybody else!. There are people out there that might not believe you, but don't give up!. Find someone that will listen to you, get counseling for yourself, and put this person who did this to you behind bars!. if you want to tell someone so you can get the molester busted; got to an attorney!. they must keep your confidence by law!.
If you just want to get it off your chest and relieve your angst; then talk to your clergy or rabbi!.
If you are not religious and don't not have anyone you trust; I have heard confessions from several men in alcoholics anonymous in order for them to stay sober, so if you like I will listen to you!.

First, tell a person that you truly trust, like a loved-one or a therapist!. A trust-worthy person will accept you empathically and support you!.
Although you may want to telll everyone, sometimes information like that can be overwhelming for people and they might not know how to react so that you get what YOU NEED!. That is why you need to choose someone who is safe and supportative!.

If you have been molested you have to tell someone!. The person is not going to stop likeing you because you were molested!. If anything they should be worried for you!. You need to tell someone so that it doesn't happen to you again or someone else!. Im very sorry that it happened to you!. For your sake and someone else please tell someone!.
