Question: I have a huge problem with a friend who tried to commit suicide!?
well on father's day my best friend took some pills to kill herself, she was in the hopital and well didn't go to the mental hospital cause of her mom!. then last week on a thursday she got really drpressed and got sent to the hospital cause she was going to try to do it again!. she was in the hospital for a week!. all she keeps saying when she was there was that she wanted to go home!. but now thats shes back she sayd she wants to go back!. she told me she doesn't care and she really wants to die!. it hurts cause i don't know what to do!. i want to help her but i don't know how!. i don't know if i should tell anyone about what she told me!. what should i do!? i'm worried that she might try to commit suicide again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You really need to let her parents know!. Don't worry about what she will think this is about keeping her alive, right!. Also stay as close to her as possible!. Let her know your there for her!. You might want to talk with your parents to!. Let them know that you are worried about your friend!. This is a lot to handle on your own!. Make sure that your OK because if not you'll be no good to anyone!. Your a very good friend and I'm sure that your friend believes this to be true or she would not confide in you!. Stay strong!.

Yes I would tell someone, but go to another adult(s) who she trusts that is NOT her parents!.
If she is having these kinds of thoughts and depression, they may have something to do w/ it!. Probably a lot you don't even know about!. Mental hospitals don't really help, they might prevent damage on self, but they don't really address the true issues!. Most importantly pray really hard for her, and get others to pray w/ you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, I would tell someone!. Try to be supportive of her and tell her that you understand how she feels!. Explain that you are her friend and don't want to see her feel like this and that she can get better!. Also try to see if there is anything you can do together to take her mind off things, like watch movies or do some crafts or look at magazines!. The best thing you can do is tell someone!. Tell an adult who cares about her!. She may really be seeking help, but needs a better way of asking for it!. Anyways think of yourself and future, you would feel really bad if something happened and you did not do anything about it!. If she denies it, just say that you really care for her and want her to be alive and well

You should talk to her a lot and try and show her everything good about life so hopefully she will change her ways!. If she keeps on talking about committing suicide then you should probably tell her parents so they can get her help!. Always remember to be supportive when you are talking to her!
