In love with my misery?!


Question: In love with my misery!?
Ive felt unhappy (but not sad), hopeless and unsatisfied for so long (since i was like 7 years old, thats 10+ years) that im love with my misery!. I don't have a problem with that but sometimes the hopelessness and unsatisfaction goes away and you'd think id feel happy when i feel 'fine' but i don't!. i feel worse than usual when i feel like that!.

Why do i feel really bad when i feel fine!? Do any of you feel this way!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have a feeling I understand what you're talking about!. Depression is something I've been battling for years now - it goes away quite often, but does have a habit of returning!.

Do you get extra attention from others - good or bad- when you're feeling down!? If you do, that may be one of the reasons you're staying that way, because subconciously you're seeking attention, and this is the way you know how to get it!. Its when you feel that people pay the most attention to you!.

Humans are creatures of habit!.!.!.!.and even if something isn't good for us, if it has become a habit, we stick to it!.!.!.!.because it is far more effort to change the habit than it is to continue with it!. Its our comfort zone!.

Being sad and stressed releases various chemicals within your body, just as being happy or exercising, etc!. Something else that could have happened is that you've gotten addicted to those chemicals that your body releases when you're feeling down - just like people who end up excessively exercising because of the way it makes them feel!.

I am currently in a rut myself and am having a bit of a hard time breaking out of it!.!.!.!.because it requires change and a change that I'm not comfortable making yet!. The act of beginning to initiate change creates anxiety!.!.!.therefore causing me to revert back to my comfort zone that has been created!. However what i have to do is take babysteps!. Little by little push myself out of my comfort zone and create new ones!.!.!.!.then things will shift and what used to keep me back wont anymore!. Its a process that you have to be very patient with, and not beat yourself up about!.

I think I'm going to take up yoga so that I can better relax!.!.!.!.I have always had a certain level of anxiety since I was little, and my body actually tenses when I relax!. Go figure!.
Maybe something like yoga or meditation would help you to become a little more intune with your body so that you can understand why you do certain things and when you finally get out of being stuck what the signs for you are when you start going back (so you can avoid going back)!.

You have to ask yourself what it is you're gaining (and it may be indirect) from feeling bad!. Do you like the attention and sympathy!? Or do you now allow yourself to "take care of yourself" any time except for when you're feeling bad!? Are you afraid of being happy for some reason!? Once you figure out what the gain is from being unhappy, it's easier to work on!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I used to revel in my depression, it felt good!.
I dont know why but it went away with age!.!.!. I actually kind of miss it too!.
