Answers:
na dont think ul need to get all that chekced, im suffering from depression and when i went to see my GP, she checked my blood pressure, also did a blood test and asked my some questions, it was like a questionnaire coz ive also been hraming myself to such an extent where ive attempted suicide!. the questions are all to do with ur mind and what u think about certain things coz by asking u questions they will know how ur depression can be best treated, eg, to find out what medication u need or whether u need the help of a councellor etc!. takecare hun XWww@Answer-Health@Com

A psychiatrist won't give you a physical exam!. He may suspect a physical cause and refer you to a doctor!. Usually it's just for a blood test!. If anything turns up the specialist of GP would be treating it anyway!. The psychaitrist would be careful when prescribing drugs if you are going to be on any other medication!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

When I was 13, I went to see my doctor about depression and I didn't have a physical exam!. Depression is a mental illness so my doctor just talked to me!.!.and than prescribed medication but there was no physical!. And now I am 21 and much better!. The best thing you can do for yourself, is to go and see a doctor, life does get better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should get a check up and blood work to make sure the source of the depression isn't medical!. Thyroid is a common cause!. There are a couple others!. Most psychiatrists will require this before diagnosing, so it's not just GPs/PCPs!.

I don't think this includes pap and pelvic unless you are due anyway!. If your doc just talks to you and you haven't had a recent exam, be skeptical about the care you are getting!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I went for anxiety and depression, they did check my blood pressure and pulse, which is no big deal doesn't hurt or anything, and that was it, the dr came in and actually had me sit in a chair beside him while he did what's called a mental health assessment which is just a series of questions, for me the whole thing lasted about 1/2 hour!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you dr will be sympathetic to your problem and likely listen to what you have to say - and recommend a course of action you both agree on - remember you DONT have to undergo anything YOU dont want to do including tests - its entirely up to you - but best have a chat and get over the door and make contact in the first place, then take it from thereWww@Answer-Health@Com

More than likely!. The doctor will need to determine if it is something related to your physical health or something related to your mental health!. The doctor will likely give you a full physical to rule out any physical relation!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

He will prob not put you on happy pills due to your age, however he/she will prob chat to you and refer you to a counseller!. If it is self harm I am not sure how much further they will take it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

a wise doctor would perform a full medical exam, including bloodwork when diagnosing depression!. there are many health problems that can cause it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, you shouldn't not unless you request it!. However, it depends on your doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Not necessary - depression isn't usually related to a physical condition!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Not sure about that, but most times, a blood test to see what meds would react to your body chemicals!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i dont know what they will do!.!.!. im 16 and i cant get up the courage to go to the doctors for my 'depression' !.!.!. so well done basically!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No!. Depression has to do with an imbalance of chemicals in your brain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if ur doctor feels u need it i think u will have to!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
