Question: Postpardum Depression!?
Hi, My daughter is almost a year old (July 18) and recently I have been feeling very useless, down, un energetic, ugly, tired, ect!.!.!. I have never exsperianced these sort of feelings before and I just want them to go away!. Could I still be in danger of getting post pardom depression or is this regular depression!? I am usually a really happy energetic person!. What should I do!? I dont want to go on any meds!. I know people who have and they were never the same after!. Is there any way to just "get over it"!? Thanks in advance for any advice!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hey, I think you're just in a rut!. I would suggest finding a support system that is strong, whether it be family, friends, or therapy!.
The best way to "get over it" is to get moving!. Go for long walks, jog, get a gym membership, or do yoga!. Do a lot of this! Find something to focus on!.!.!.mine was health and fitness, obviously ;)
If this were post-partum depression, you most likely would have had symptoms earlier!. You would have had bad imagery, thoughts of suicide, and it isn't uncommon to have thoughts of hurting baby!.
I would be willing to discuss this with you if you have any questions about another mom's experience with depression!. One thing I will add, is that at the time of my child's first birthday I was having very few problems with depressed thought!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think it's just depression!. I'd think if it was postpartum, it would start way earlier!. I had it with my daughter, and it didn't go away until she was 4 months old!. But I took medication to help!.
Have some free time for yourself!. Get away from the house!.
Counseling could help figure out the "root" of your problems!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

its regular depression; ppd happens usually a couple months after not a year later!. do not go on meds (they are addictive and can mess you up) but definitely try counseling or support groups!. hope this helps :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
