She needs an intervention?!
Question: She needs an intervention!?
I have a friend that is addicted to perscription pills!. She has recently found a connection that allows her to obtain methadone!. Along with taking the pills she also drinks heavly and uses marijuanna!. Its so hard to watch her destroy her self!.
I have tried to help her, but she has pushed me away!. I told her a week ago that i love and care for her very much, and that i donot want to see her hurt herself anylonger!. She has since stopped talking to me or anyone who tries to help her!. She only allows people around her that contribute to her addiction!.
how can i helper if she doesnt want the help!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Im trying to be there for her but, she no longer wants me around!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You're right you friend needs help, but a lot of the time the addict is the last to realize this!. You'll hear people say that the addict has to hit the bottom, but at times the bottom can be brought up to them a little-Intervention!. But this is going to take more than just you to do it!.!. First you'll need a counselor to help lead the intervention and family and friends that see her addiction!.
Also if she is still getting any medication from the doctors you can cut off that supply by notifying the doctor!. The doctor might not be able to say anything to you, but can take information!.
You don't really indicate what age range she is in, but we all have consequences that we have to face-legal, loss of family, including children, loss of employment, education, etc!.
If all else fails know that you tried to be there for her, and perhaps you could use some counseling, especially if she was a close friend!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You have tried to help and you should keep that offer open!. An intervention with others in her life may help, or not!. If it doesn't, you have no reason to feel bad!. You did your best and now you need to focus on yourself!. Sometimes friends just go in different directions and relationships end!. Don't feel guilty!. Who knows, maybe she'll be back months or years down the road, as a whole new person!. You just can't wait around on that or become codependent!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
LIKE THE OTHERS HAVE SAID THERE REALLY IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO IF THE PERSON DOES NOT WANT TO GET HELP!. IF SHE DOES NOT WANT HELP SETTING UP AN INTERVENTION WILL DO NOTHING IF SHE WALKS OUT, WONT STAY IN REHAD OR GET COUNSELING!. SHE WILL ONLY TRY TO GET HELP ONCE SHE HITS WHAT IS CALLED "ROCK BOTTOM"!. THE ONLY THING YOU CAN DO IS BE THERE FOR HER IN POSITIVE WAYS, CALL HER FROM TIME TO TIME TO SEE HOW SHE IS DOING!. OTHER THEN THAT YOU CAN'T FORCE A PERSON TO STOP USING DRUGS BECAUSE AS SOON AS THEY GET AWAY FROM YOU THEY ARE GOING TO USE AGAIN!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I'm afraid to say there is nothing you can do until she wants the help!. It might take, her getting to her lowest point in life to even want the help!.
Yes you can try intervention!. Now there's still no guarantee that she'll except it!. It also cost a lot of money to do such a thing!. Even if she agrees there that chance she'll run once she gets to rehab!. So you might have to sit back and wait unless you think an intervention may work!.
Your a great friend!. Wanting to help someone in this can stress a person out and there are a lot of let downs!. You must take care of yourself and have a lot of support if you choose to do this!. Try to remember that relapes is part of recovery and it may take more then one try for her to succeed!. Educate yourself and learn the cycles of recovery for drug addicts!. It may help with some of your frustration!. It helped with mine and I was the one tring to get off drugs
If you do choose intervention please stay a way from a rehab called NARCONON or NEW LIFE as it is SCIENTOLOGY!. They are all over the world and have taken over the Internet when you research rehabs!. I know this because I was fooled by them last year!. They took $30,000 from me and my family!.
I am now off drugs and starting to get my life back together!.
