Question Regarding Zoloft?!

Question: Question Regarding Zoloft!?
Okay, I was prescribed Zoloft last Wednesday!. It's the first time of my life that I'm taking an antidepressant!. The doctor prescribed 50mg!. I was feeling tired all the time, wanting to take frequent naps, lack of appetite, no motivation, and I felt like a zombie all day!. Today is day 6, and I snapped the pill in half, because I hate that "zombie" like feeling!. Was I overprescribed at 50mg to begin with!? Right now, I feel okay so far since I took half the pill this morning!. Anyone out there had or have the same symptoms as me!? Thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am on Zoloft as well!. Im 14 though!. But uhm at first i was given 25 mg, and i was just like so out of it all the time, and i just wanted to lay down and do nothing, and i felt like i was never really there, like i was there but nothing felt right!. people would talk to me and i would go in my own world and zone out!. I went and talked to the doctor because i was always tired and he represcibed me 10 mg which is the lowest dosage!. but im on it now and i feel much better!. still a little tired, but nothing like before,I think he is telling you to take to much!. try 25Www@Answer-Health@Com

No you wern't overprescribed!. 50mg is standard starting dose, 25mg is child dosage!. because you havent taken anything like this before you body has taken some time to get used to it!. I would recommend taking the 50, it will take a few weeks to notice any difference though!. If your feeling like a "zombie" take the dose at night time before going to bed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm on Zoloft!. Being this your first time on antidepressants, you need to know!. It takes about a 6 week adjustment period!. You won't have a normal full affect for a few more weeks!. Stay on the prescribed dosage and wait for your body to adjust!. If it still feels unnatural, contact the doctor whom prescribed em!.

Welcome to a new life of giddyness and uncaring joy ; )Www@Answer-Health@Com

I was on Zoloft for a while at a higher dose than you and I was fine!. There is no standard though, some medicines just don't work for some people!. Some people will take 100mg and not feel anything!. If you don't already have an appointment scheduled within the next week you should call and make one!. You're being treated for a reason, and if you want to start feeling better, they need to figure out which medicine will work best for you!. Zoloft probably isn't it!. There are plenty more that you can try though!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
