I have had personal experience with OCD!. As Messy said, if it's that sort of thing, don't worry - we all double and triple check things from time to time or knock on wood!. I've included a couple of links which you can follow to some better answers and even online tests to see if you're at risk!.

Like most mental diseases, OCD does climax later in life - particularly between 30-40 - so if you're younger than that and you're having serious concerns, definitely see a professional!. Some people go their whole lives with OCD and work around their quirks, other don't develop it fully!.

Common traits of a person with OCD can include constant ordering or cleaning, washing hands, disturbing thoughts, obsessions in sex or aggressiveness, hoarding etc etc!. Most people suffering from OCD know they have a problem, as opposed to other mental disorders where the person thinks they're perfectly fine!.

It's better to be safe than sorry!. If it's only minor, then try not to let a doctor rush you into drugs as a course of action as they can have serious side effects!. Hope it works out for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm a substance abuse counselor, not a mental health specialist!.!.!.but why would you want to seek professional help if it's not interfering with your life!?

I do know almost all people have "mini" versions of OCD or simply habits!. At times, these can impact life in small ways!. For example, I personally have to check 3 or 4 times every time I leave my house to make sure the door is locked!.

If this is the type of thing you're talking about, don't try to complicate your life with diagnoses or meds!. There's no upside to it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
