Question: This may sound morbid, but is there a database or some way to see if someone has committed suicide!?
I am looking into buying a townhouse and the neighbors said the reason it is $50,000 under the market value is because it needs updating!. Then she said, "And he was also a single guy you went crazy!." This leads me to believe that he may have killed himself!. Is there any way to find this out without asking the realtor!? It is a "forclosed" property!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There is no database that will tell you how someone died!. You can look for the obit in the paper but many times those don't list the manner of death!. You many not want to ask the realtor butI believe that a realtor must disclose the information to you about the history of the townhouse you are buying!. So you can ask the realtor or even ask the neighbor again!. You could also use a search engine such as google to look up the address!. You might even be able to find out who lived there using an old phone book and then google that persons name!. I would also speak to someone other than this particular neighbor, maybe they are just pulling your leg!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would take a $50,000 discount in that situation!. It's too bad if someone died there, but the house can still have nothing but great memories and times for you and you can use that $50,000 savings to make some of that happen!.
There is no pattern of houses that have one trajedgy having another, except in Hollywood movies!. Don't be superstitious, take the great deal if you like the house!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you know the person's name you can search the National Death Index!. You have to pay to get someone's death certificate, but the certificate will say how the person died!.

You could also ask ther real estate agent because they would have to disclose that!.

Don't worry about it!. I am like you!.!.!.!.I would not want to live there if someone died either!. I always buy or rent BRAND new because of that!!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

if you know his name, you could search local newspaper archives for articles or obituariesWww@Answer-Health@Com
