Coming off cymbalta?!
Question: Coming off cymbalta!?
I'm so desperate for a real answer!. I tapered off Cymbalta and I took the last dose (30 mg) 9 days ago!. I'm still having horrible nausea and headaches and I don't know what to do!. I've talked to three different psychiatrists and they've all told me they recommend that I go back on Cymbalta (I no longer have depression symptoms!. Why would I go back on the medicine just to get rid of the withdrawal!? Would they tell this advice to a crack addict!?)
I've tried taking Benedryl, Tylenol, Vicoden!.!.!. and none of it helps!. I talked to my doctor about taking Prozac and tapering off that, but she said that that only works for some people because its just a placebo effect (they feel better because they think they should be feeling better)!.
I'm SOOO desperate to get off this drug, but I don't know how much longer I can take these horrible symptoms!. Does anyone have any real advice!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try looking up "SSRI discontinuation syndrome" in a Yahoo web search!. Wikipedia has a good summary!. Some patients have an extremely difficult time withdrawing from SSRI's SNRI's etc!. I withdrew from sertraline and was affected by giddiness for several months after tapering off according to the doctors recommendations!. I hate to say it but SSRI's are addictive drugs!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
