I used to suffer from insomnia terribly and one time I did not sleep for 4 days!. I started to hallucinate when I was at the swimming pool in the steam room!. I was talking to a man and I was asking him "Am I really talking to you!?" I did not know if I was talking to this person and if they were really in front of me!. It was TERRIBLY SCARY!! I immediatly went to the hospital which gave me 400mg Seroquel (an anti-psychotic) - not cause they thought I was going crazy but b/c a side effect is drowsiness and they knew I had tried tons of other med for sleep to no avail and I needed to sleep!.

After I slept that night the feelings of being detached and unreality went away!. I DON'T RECOMMEND that you try this!! It is VERY DANGEROUS & SCARY!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, it's dangerous!. Your brain needs to sort and file all the information it receives when you're awake, and your body needs to repair itself on a cellular level!. You can probably find some good medical information about sleep deprivation on the internet, and I think there was even a Star Trek episode about it back in the day!. Off the top of my head, I'd say mood and judgment become impaired after even one night of missed sleep, and you can also have perception and coordination problems that can lead to accidents!. After a few nights of missed sleep, a person can lapse into sleep-deprived psychosis, which is basically losing contact with reality in a way that is painful and scary, not fun!. After you go without sleep for a while and get overtired, it can actually be hard to fall asleep even though you're exhausted, or you can just conk out at a bad time or place!. You can also run down your immune system, so you might be more prone to catching a cold or getting sick!. If you're going to experiment with this, be sure you're in a safe environment, do it naturally (don't poison yourself with too much caffeine or anything else), set criteria for stopping the experiment early (i!.e!., if x or y happens, you will stop) and make sure a parent or sensible friend knows what's going on so they can help you if you need it!. I don't think it's all that weird or bad to want to try something like this, but it's important to take every precaution because your health and safety are the most important things you've got, and you have plenty of time ahead of you for more interesting experiments!. Good luck and please take care!Www@Answer-Health@Com

why would you do that!? it's a proven fact that your body needs sleep, so yes it would be dangerous!. i don't think you wouldn't die or anything, but it's really not healthy!. i don't see why you would want to do that!.!.!.!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you actually succeed in staying up that long, you won't be functioning very well by the end of it--in fact, you'll probably be hallucinating and suffering memory loss!. Bad idea!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

just personally

i dont reckon youre gonna last that long!.

and if you drink enought coffee that you do, then yeah thats probly not too good for you!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it is only dangerous if u cheat and over us caffeine and enerdy drinks but i doubt that u will make it any further than 48 hrsWww@Answer-Health@Com

I have no idea if it's dangerous, my concern is why would you want to stay up without sleep for so long!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
