Question: I am on citalopram for anxiety and my stomach keeps bloating!?!?
I am on citalopram for anxiety for a couple of months now!.
I have noticed every now and then my stomach bloats at first i thought it was just my periods away to start, but it keeps happening, also my legs feel like they retain water for a few days and go, then it comes back again!.
I suppose it aint that bad but it is making me feel horrible and fat like when i have TOTM with all the bloated-ness!

IBS can be caused by stress/anxiety and that make you bloat!? lot of people who suffer from anxiety also suffer from IBS!. You would need to treat it seperate tho!.

i dont get a bloated stomach but they do make me feel jittery in the stomach also make me feel real drowsy in the day if i take it in the am and cant sleep if i take them in the pm have you noticed this tooWww@Answer-Health@Com
im on the same tablets, if it continues go back to your doctor and tell him, perhhaps hell llower the dose but it is still ealry stages and it takes a while for all symptoms to subside, good luck tho xWww@Answer-Health@Com
It sounds like you need a change in medication!. Go back and see your GP!. It may be that switching to another SSRI antidepressant will help you without causing this unpleasant side-effect!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
