They do the same thing, but have slightly different adverse effects (as do all meds):
Alprazolam: The most frequently reported are drowsiness, coordination difficulties with dizziness!. Release of hostility and other paradoxical effects such as irritability, excitability and hallucinations are known to occur with the use of benzodiazepines!.
Clonazepam: The most frequently occurring adverse reactions to clonazepam are referable to CNS depression!. Drowsiness occurs in approximately 50% of patients and ataxia in approximately 30%!. In some cases, these may diminish with time!. Behaviour problems have been noted in approximately 25% of patients and increased salivation in 7%!.
Keep in mind that different drugs affect different people in different ways; although both Clonazepam and Alprazolam do the same things, one may work better for you than the other, or they both may work well, or neither might work for you!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

well they are both benzodiazepine!. clonazepam is also know as Klonopin and alprazolam is also know as xanax!. Alprazolam is a high-potency benzodiazepine that depresses the central nervous system, causing a mood-elevating and sedative effect and relieving feelings of anxiety!.
