Depression Medication? please help?!


Question: Depression Medication!? please help!?
I've had depression for the past 2 years, im going to a therapist every 2-3 weeks, i've had a suicidal attempt and i still get thoughts, i've managed to say no to meds so far, because part of me wants to work this out by myself, but the other part thinks that they could really help me, i've been down in the dump most of the time, i dont like hanging out with friends anymore, my ex broke up with me and he was my first love, and im trying to get over him but he still wants me (sounds messed up i know) And i have to go for an appt!. had to re-schedule cuz i had a couple of bad nights, and my mom wants me to go on some anti depression meds but im not sure if i want to, what do i do!? and if you take them or know somebody that does, do they really help you!? thank you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Dealing with depression is an everyday battle!. It's not something that can just come and go!. Because of the chemical imbalance in the brain you really don't have control over when your mood will swing from great to horrible!. Anti-depressant medication helps to keep all this balanced!. It's possible you will go through several different meds before finding the right one!. I am currently taking meds for Bipolar Depression!. I have to switch every year or so because my body adjusts to the meds and they do not work as well!. Everyday is a battle and my entire life feels like a war!. I have to talk myself through the smallest tasks!. I have to walk away from people when i know i'm in a bad mood and about to snap on them!. there is no easy fix for depression!. Anyone suffering from a mental illness needs medication, therapy, and support from family and friends!. I wish you the best of luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I personally know hundreds of people where therapy was not enough to correct their depression/mood/anxiety disorders!. And for the vast majority of those that tried antidepressants/antianxiety/mood stabilizers they dramatically improved!. I would strongly recommend working with a psychiatrist on finding a good medicine mix that helps you!. For most people it can be a difference between night and day!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds like you could really benefit from anti-depression medication!. Why don't you try it for a couple of months and see if it helps!. Sometimes you can be feeling so low that you lack the insight that helps you make healthy decisions!. Listen to your mom, and good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

some pills work and some dont i had some that made me have nightmares and finally finding pills that helped me i didn't need them anymore!. lol

i think you should say to your therapist what you have said on here then listen to his/her advice!. they are there to help you!.

I would not personally use drugs because I found a better non drug system!. Have your mom get the book Australian Bush Flower Healing by Ian White
it has a great repertory that will help you select the best essences to help Start off with Five corners and Waratah on your list of have to have!. You might start with Emergency Essence with Five corners or Abund with Waratah for instance as the two most likely to help!.

it is the best system I know to cure depression rather than using drugs to suppress symptoms of depression (often causing people with low self esteem to actually commit suicide or go on a killing spree as well as lots of other damaging things to the liver and kidneys, depending on which one used :o(((

I would also be using some extra stress vitamins like Quest stress combination (vit C and vit B's sort of thing) a person under stress use these up at a tremendous rate and the sudden crying is indicative of some vit B's being low!.

Less sugar and grains in your diet will also help!. Some filtered wild fish oil will also be of benefit as these fats have a calming and overall helpful effect!. Eat free range or wild meat preferably, organic next best!. Try to stay away from chemical laced foods!.

Just be sure to check on all of the side effects before you start a medication!. My biggest problem with meds has always been the side effects!.!.!. In some cases, they're worse than what they're treating, lol!. Your doctor should give you a progress/mood calendar too (if he doesn't offer one up, ask for it)!.!.!. Basically they're daily or weekly calendars where you rate how you're feeling and what symptoms you're experiencing on what day!. It really helps your doctor understand what's going on with you better because if you're like me, you forget half the things you wanted to tell him as soon as you get into his office!. That way he'll have a daily record of how well the medication is working out for you too!. And don't be afraid to turn down a medication or ask to get off of one if you don't like it, it's your body and you know when it's working!.!.!.

I know things suck right now, but it really does get better!. Everything in life is fleeting and it gets easier as you go!. Medication can really help you and you don't have to stay on it forever!. A lot of people just go on medications to balance themselves and deal for a while until they feel better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
