If you have TRUE BiPolar, then you will need to stay on your meds!. A lot of people feel like once they are regulated and functioning well, that they are healed (so to speak), but a few months off will show that you shouldn't have gone off!. It is a common thought, but rarely is a good idea!. Just tell yourself that the meds prevent the depressive episodes and in order to not go there again, you have to stay on the meds!. It sucks, but it is fact!.!.!.sorry :(Www@Answer-Health@Com

The bipolar type you have, sounds like you don't have much euphoria, so it is understandable that you want to stop your medication!. Medication changes should be discussed with your prescriber, there may be a chance that the dosages can be reduced!.

Rational and clear thinking can benefit you and your future, so that you can identify all the positives about medication and the negatives!. There may be some strategies that can be applied to your health care that may reduce the negatives such as side effects (so tell doctor about the negatives)!.

If you decide to take things into your own hands, keep a diary at least daily!. Write down your thoughts and every other thing you can think of!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

In my experience with clients who are bipolar, it is not possible to leave off the medication after a certain point!. The meds are extremely important in the management of bipolar disorder!. You will want to ask your prescribing physician this question of course, but the fact that you feel well is a sign that the medication is at the proper dosage level and should not be self-adjusted!. Good luck and God bless!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Possibly I guess!. It really depends on what kind of Bipolar you have and the how bad the episodes were when you got them!. What do you take!? In my case, my psychiatrist said for me to expect to be on mine for life!. When my bipolar was at its worst is when i finally was diagnosed with it!. I was in a Ultra Rapid Cycling mode!. I would have severe episodes that lasted 3-5 days about 1-2 times a month!. When i came out of the episodes I had no memory of the past days!. That was at it's worst so far!. After finally finding the right meds for me I slowly starting getting better!. I'm great now but at 1 point about 8 months ago I decided that i was cured and didn't need or want to take the meds anymore!. I was off of my Zyprexa for only 5 days when i was hits with the worst episode i had since i started the meds!. I have been on them since and won't make that mistake again!. Remember!.!.!.you say that you feel really good now!. OK!. Well, Bipolar isn't curable so that means that the medicines are doing their job and keeping you "level" but when you stop taking the meds you run a big risk of setting things off again!. Talk with your doctor before you do ANYTHING!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you might look at getting help to get off the meds with a lot of support and help!.

diet changes can be helpful for instance!.

Some Australian Bush Flower Essences for detoxing and mood changes!. You would be best to find a practitioner that uses them to help you through the transition!.

It is possible to get off the drugs but do not attempt this with out medical supervision!.

the Book Australian Bush Flower Healing by Ian White could be of help in understanding about energy medicines!.

use your search engine to find a practitioner!. Does not have to be in your area (there are not that many around)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'll tell you this!!!! DO NOT stop taking those meds!!! Feeling good right now is probably because of the meds!. Go off them on your own, without a doctors say so and you are inviting something potentially VERY bad!. MANY people I know have done what you are asking!. Most of them had VERY bad experiences!. Some of them have horrible regrets because of what happened while they were off their meds!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You've been hospitalized 10 times!? That's a lot!.

Sounds like your bi-polar is dangerous and you are very lucky to find the right med mix for you!.

No, I don't believe you can go off your med mix with success!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
