I suffer from depression and have been put on various Anti-Depressants but NONE !


Question: I suffer from depression and have been put on various Anti-Depressants but NONE of them helped!.!?
I think I need some sort of mental therapy because it is obviously overpowered by my thoughts!. I was thinking some sort of psychotherapy but not sure what to do!. What if that doesn't help!? My motivation is so low I have to really force myself to do even simple things and am tired of it, I just want that energy and motivation without looking back!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I know!.!.!.no one can understand how depression can take over your life unless they have experienced it themselves!.!.!.I have a family history of depression, and have tried different anti-depressants throughout my life!.!.!.The only one that worked for me was Lexapro!.!.!.within days I noticed a difference, seriously!.!.!.!.Are you an emotional/sensitive person!?!? If so, there's a book called "The Highly Sensitive Person" (forgot author's name), but it gives a clearer understanding of how your sensitivity can affect you!. Also, I think your surroundings can affect you!.!.!.What makes you happy!? the beach!? gardening!? God!?!.!.!.where ever you can find your good place, go there more often!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Join a group of people that suffer from depression it can help to talk with someone who has the same problem!. To get back in the swing of things make a promise to yourself each day that you will accomplish at least one thing that you have been putting off!. I have suffered depression and anxiety for 13 years!. You will have lows and highs, just ride with them!. When you are low try listening to music of your choice it helps also!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Therapy is a good alternative to meds!. It is something that you must commit to as it takes sometime to see a change!. Like meds you must find the right therapist and the right kind of therapy!. Depression isn't something that you can will away!. It doesn't come from a weak minded person!.

Have you considered your diet!? Are you eating a lot of carbs and sugars, and if you are, do you think it affects how you feel!? Depression is strongly linked to dietary intake!. High sugar or yeast foods intake can cause a condition known as candidiasis, which causes (among others) depression!.

I suggest looking at what you eat, and searching for info on the internet about the link between diet, yeast, and depression!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I too have this problem!. Depression is a terrible thing which takes over your life to the point you have no idea who you are or what will make it stop!. I think throwing yourself into something which perhaps will pre-occupy your mind you don't have time to be depressed!. What started the depression, any particular event which triggered it!? It is a difficult one, so many times i thought i may be getting a little better when like lightening depression knocks you down again!. I see a therapist, and it is a huge help!.
Go fot it!. It will be good for you!. As the 1st poster said, look at your diet, and I will add your sleep habits!. Vitamin D will give you a lesser feeling of fatigue, also!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It could be the wrong medication!.
My sister went through the same thing, she has bipolar I!.
She went through tons before they found a combo that worked!.
