I want to help because I've just battled postpartum depression !. !. !. and won! I know mine is due to hormones but most likely you have a hormonal imbalance as well!.
I didn't take drugs and I did a lot of research!. Here is what helps!.
1!. Eat peanut butter and drink protein drinks (protein has tryptophan and that triggers serotonin, which elevates mood)!.
2!. Sleep as often as you need!.
3!. No sugar, caffeine and other stimulants because that elevates mood then causes you to crash and ultimately depletes serotonin!.
4!. Walk 30-60 minutes 5 days a week!.
5!. Drink apple cider vinegar-2 tablespoons before every meal!.
6!. Dash flaxseed on your food!.
7!. Continue with daily activities as you would if you were happy and life will eventually take over!.
8!. Trust in God and that everything will be wonderful!. Time heals all wounds!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm not sure trying to do it without help is the best idea!. I mean, you say you really need help, but you don't want some of the help that's available at the same time!. Well, I'm not real big on med's or therapy either, but I will say that going to group sessions with other people having similar problems was a big help to me when I was unable to deal with it alone!. Outside of that, all I can suggest is to keep a good relationship with those who are closest to you and keep the lines of communication open (and honest)!. It's ok to reach out when you need someone to lean on! Also, do whatever you can to keep your life "brightened up"!.!.!. in other words, don't let yourself fall into a deeper and deeper depression!. Do some of the things that you enjoy!.!.!. and do at least one of them every day!. Take care of your health!. Find a reason to laugh at least once a day!. And maybe even try doing some volunteer work to fill the "empty space" you have in your life!. It turns out that giving of ourselves (even when we feel we have nothing to give) is one of the most fulfilling and joyful things we can do in our lives!. Whatever you do!.!.!. If you have mild depression, try exercising and eating well!. Take better care of yourself and get 30 minute of "vigorating" exercise to increase endorphins in your brain!.

If you have severe depression, you need to get help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Exercise daily!. It doesn't have to me strenuous exercising!. Even if you do brisk walking daily for about 20-30 minutes it will elevate your mood!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

talk to god, go to church, stay busy with positive things, if your not a church person check it out it might be a good experience!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
