I'm depressed but am I overdosing on excercise?!


Question: I'm depressed but am I overdosing on excercise!?
I don't like therapists or drugs but I heard that excercising is good for depression!. Just thing is i'm doing that now for like 2 and a half to 3 hours a day!. I'm ocd and i'm sorta addicted to the high I get from it and the feeling of having a purpose!. I've just been told that it seems like i'm doing too much and was wondering if it was possible to overdose on excercise!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

i have a similar situation as yours!. I definitely agree that exercising help with depression, as I have experienced the energy one gets from exercises, as well as it produces endorphins which stimulate your body!. I don't think that your getting too much exercise to the extent that it could be bad for you!.If this is something that occupies your time and you enjoy doing then go for it!. If you don't need to exercise for that long then I think less time would be sufficient but if you enjoy it i dont see a problem!.good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Depends!. Have you aksed urself why u want to go for so long!? do you not find urself getting tired!. half hour to houre a day is good !. depends also on type of exercise, a 2 hour walk is different to 2 hours doing weights!. if ur doing it to gain a sense of well being and some of it is gentle exercise, that's ok but if it is all strenuous or ur doing it to fulfil some desire to lose lots of weight or something it is a problem!. the body also needs rest, so get a good balance and when u exercise do only what u can manage and make sure ur enjoying it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your OK, just keep going and be clear about where you are heading with it!. Aim to be good at some sporting skill and maybe add some study on the skill, sport whatever!. Good on ya for the effort, being consistent will be a good form of therapy!. Keep a diary on your productive experiences and find improvements whenever you can!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Are you eating healthy and enough to fuel your body for it!? Are you exercising in a way that is not too hard on your joints every day!? Are you taking a day or two off every week to give your body time to recover!? If yes, then not you are not!. If no, then you are pushing it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You might be alittle bit, as long as your not making yourself sick though, you should be okay!. Just remember, you can get addicted, so be careful!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
