I wouldn't say it is wrong, in the sense of it is not morally right or wrong, but it may be a poor decision!. I take an anti-depressant and it's the best thing I could have done!. I feel great!. However, everyone is different!.
Sleeping pills and anti-depressants are very different medications!. You can't get physically addicted to anti-depressants!. In fact, they have more problems with people just stopping taking them without consulting their doctors, so it's almost the opposite problem of an addiction!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is your choice!. If you do not want to take pills, then make sure that you monitor your moods very carefully (for the sake of your baby)!.

Eat well, exercise, try and get some sleep!.
If your case is mild, it might clear up on its own!.

But if you feel yourself getting worse, see a doctor immediately!. Post-Partum Depression is VERY serious!. Andrea Yates killed her 4 children because it got so bad, she got psychotic!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i fyou have case of depression yes take them its to help you not make you dependent on them its sad but when most have problems they think they can help themselves and that is not the case if you'd continue on them and do what the doctor says you'd beok!. i would stop mine i could cry and act stupid sometimes its not worth it to stop and i hope and pray you will see the light and contiues doing what the doctor says!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Of course, most of us do not want to take pills!. Try some other things, like spending time with people who support you!. If you do not feel better, then try to consider the medication!. It is there to help people with things!. You have been through a stressful time recently so you need time to recover!. You could also benefit from counseling!. Some places offer free counseling to mothers who recently gave birth!. Your doctor might know of some agencies!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i was depressed for 2 years but because of my knowledge that a dose of medicine is always considered a poison to our immune system i avoid them totally!.

before i was insomniac used to wake up at 4am or 5am now 8am because i turned my room into total darkness!. sealed my windows with black plastic sheet!.

plz avoid the sleeping pill it dulls your brain power and it bad side effects!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is a personal decision!. All that I can say is that I took Zoloft after my father died and it really helped!. I stopped it after a few months when I started feeling good again!. If you don't want to take the pills, however, then you don't have to!Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you don't feel comfortable taking them then don't! Do keep in mind though that depression is something very serious as is your health!. So if you'r positive about the fact that you don't need them, then don't take them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

whenever you feel sad, sit down, relax, and think of all the good parts of your life!. maybe play with your baby to have some fun!. just don't do anything rash!. hope you feel better soon!.

try to find a reason to smile everyday!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I can understand why you do not want to take AD's, but at the same time, do you want to feel miserable for even one more day that you have to!? Apart from how unhappy YOU feel, you are likely, upsetting your husband, and child!.
I personally hate AD's because of the side effect of weight gain!. I usually feel worse on them because I am worried all the time about how much weight I am stacking on, so I try to starve myself, which leaves me feeling cold, tired, and irritable!.
Nor do they work for everyone, they do not work for me, I just stress out about the weight gain!. If your doc says your depression is only mild, you might do better with CBT!.!.!.talk therapy!.!.!. with a psychologist!. I am surprised that he did not suggest this, though most people prefer a quick fix, which pills are more likely to provide!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi

Nobody can force you to take meds!. However, if you are finding that you cannot shake the depression -you need to let the doctor know!. Keep in mind that sleeping remedies can enhance feelings of depression!.

Just because an antidepressant has been prescribed does not mean you will have to take it forever, so keep that in mind!.
There are several out there which are really good!.

Keep a good open network of people to talk to!. If you have nobody around, your doctor should have a referral service which will find people for you to talk to!.

Don't be embarrassed or ashamed to talk!. You would be amazed at how many professionals ( doctors included) take an antidepressant!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
