Answers:
The intrusive thoughts I have usually pop up when I'm trying to concentrate on something, or when I'm very nervous or talking to people!. What I do is make up an alternative silly thought & let the thought pass, & then take a DEEP breath, & then go back to whatever I was doing or saying!. In highly stressful situations, this doesn't work for me!. The thoughts pop up like unwanted internet popup ads!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If your Ocd is affecting your life, then you probably do need some meds!. If you had high blood pressure, you would take meds, right!? Why would your brain be any different!? It's just another organ of your body!. I have OCD, and I am on meds, but when I am feeling a little manic, I try to divert my attention in another direction, especially if my compulsions might be harmful!. between the meds and my effort to divert my attention I seem to do pretty well!. Others may wonder why I am scrubbing the same pot for an hour, but at least I am keeping my compulsions under control!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Stop thinking of it as a disorder, you are probably cleaner and more organized than anybody you know, and they are just jealous because they are unsanitary, disorganized and more than likely live in squalor!. Don't listen to them the "normal" people are the ones who are screwed up, because they live in filth like mental defectives!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I sort of have this, more so heaps of anxiety!.

EG I have to go through all the bookmarks on my thing everyday as a routine, otherwise I get anxious!. Or if I save something new on my computer, and I don't copy it to my portable harddrive so their identical I also get anxious (sometimes)!.

What I've found is that thoughts in your head is what drives anxiety!. Direct correlation, its got nothing got to do with being right or the external things you think about!.

So I just try to relax, take things as they come, and focus at tasks at that moment, knowing that things change all the time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

get a hobbie that requires constant repeating motion such as knitting or typing a novel or even brushing your hair!. not only does it compleatly relax you but once you get into the constant motion you dont have to think about anyting and the problem is gone!. =]Www@Answer-Health@Com
