When you become aware of it and realized that it's messing with your life!. If it isnt' letting you function with your daily routine to the point where you can't get anything done because of it, you know you need help!. Seeking help has to be a conscious effort though!. You can't receive help unless you allow it in and your consciously aware of your problem!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
For me it was when I finally realized that self medicating with cocaine was probably a sign that something was out of kilter in my life (clean 5 years last month!.)
While everyone has their sad or anxious days, when you start to see more that 2 or 3 weeks go by without improvement, you should be talking to someone!.
If you ever feel as if you are going to hurt yourself (or even someone else) you need to go immediately!.
I started by going to my regular doc and explaining where I was!. He got me onto some meds and referred me to a counselor!. That worked for me; I was lucky!.
The fit and comfort you feel with your therapist is the utmost importance!. If it does not feel right, be frank and many times they can even refer you to someone else!. Don't worry about hurting their feelings or having to explain in detail why you would you prefer to see someone else!. I lived in survival mode for years!. I knew that something was wrong with me!. I was young and not able to get help for myself!. When we moved to a place where therapy was accessible for me to get to on my own, I started feeling my feelings!. When I moved out on my own, I started feeling even more feelings!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
When I tried unsuccessfully to sever my penis and I had to be rushed to ER to get 10 inches below the cut to get re-attached !!! True story, I was using Methamphetimines and going outside of my mind !!!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
