I think I have a mood disorder, what do you think it is?!

Question: I think I have a mood disorder, what do you think it is!?
When I was younger I was treated for depression!. I was slightly suicidal, serious about running away, and never happy!. I was treated with Prozac from about the age 8 until 10!. About that time I just stopped taking it!. Since then I've learned to deal with it and I've not been on anything except last fall when my grandpa died and my family was dysfunctional for a few months I was on Celexa!.

Since then (and a bit before that) I've noticed that I'll be really really good 99% of the time!. As happy as everyone else!. (in the past my "happy" was other people's "slightly off") but every couple months I will hit a nearly unpredictable wall!. It will last only about a week!. (and I think if I treated it, it would be less time) where I just go nuts!. I completely break down and quit!. I lay in bed, I avoid my responsibilities, I'm completely out of control, I even stop doing basic things like brushing my teeth!. A week later I'm fine, back to normal- and I have to fix my life!. Answers:
for 1 i have no sympathy for people who are slightly suicidal because i'v had very bad things happen to me in my past and i looked at life and my abilities, the people who helped me, and what i have to look forward to!. i thought of suicide but to me its for the weak!. 2 there was a reason u were depressed, and when u ether wouldn't or didn't know how to explain what that reason was u were put on pills!.
now u need to look at your self deeply, like looking at a reflection of yourself in the water!. dont just look at the surface, look at the problems that are under water!. u have to look at your priorities, your problems and your life!. categorize them, grt to the source of your problems and fix them there!. dont just drug yourself to hide them!. as for avoiding your responsibilities, not cleaning, and giving up, i think u need to ask yourself why are u giving up and see if its really worth it otherwise i think your an attention seeker!. u take for granted what u have and dont think about people who REAL problems !. be strong and and deal with your problems head on, like death and family, just hurt yourself in the process!. dont hide, medicate, or avoid your problems!. life is what u make it!! make it enjoyableWww@Answer-Health@Com

Ask your doctor about PMDD, it's premenstrual dysphoric disorder!. I know when I was young I'd have a migraine or difficult cycle once or twice each year but as I got older they became more frequent and more severe!. Just something to consider!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you could be bipolar!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well the problem is that since you have been on these medications for so long they have ultimately caused a decrease in your dopamine levels!. These drugs cause your serotonin levels to increase but after sometime they don't do the trick anymore!. The best way to increase your dopamine levels (also called the bonding drug) is to fall in love or work out strenuously!. Both these activities cause a rush of endorphins and in an MRI the same areas will light up as for a cocaine user, but in a good way!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
