Client/therapist confidentiality is a must with two exceptioins: According to the American Counseling Association, every thing told to a counselor during a therapy session must be kept in strictest confidentiality EXCEPT when/if the client shares either suicidal or honmicidal thoughts with the counselor, AND the counselor feels this threat is serious!. this MUST be reported to the authoirities, if in the opinion of the therapist, the thoughts are current and sincere!.
In addition, she would be legally bound to tell you that she had to share this commu ication with the authorities!. she cannot do it without telling you!. the APA American Psychological Association code of Ethics also feel the same way!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

She, by law, can not turn you in to the police!. Kind of like the lawyer-client privilege thing!. But what does happen actually depends on the state!. Some places, she will have to refer you to a hospital for inpatient treatment for a few days; if she does this and you don't go to the hospital, you can be arrested after the hospital turns you in (not for wanting to kill someone, just not going to the hospital)!. But in others, she can just keep follow-ups with you (which is the vast majority of states)!.

Just keep those appointments you set, and you'll do great!. Good luck to you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's not illegal to think about killing someone, so she's not going to turn you in!.

If you want to kill a certain person, she might have you restrained for your own protection - it's a lot easier to treat you before you kill someone than afterwards with a criminal charge against you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

ok first thing is first!.!.!.try not to judge urself!.!.!.its not good that u have these urges but the important thing is that u r not acting on them!.!.!.ur therapist can only turn u in if u tell her of a specific plan for a specific person!.!.!.not just urges in general!.!.!.and i think it is good that u told her and plz continue to!.!.!.that way u can get it out and get some help with it!.
take care

As you have already told her of your need to commit murder she is mandated by law to advise the legal group in your area of this concern!. You are a danger to yourself and others!. Her failure to report puts her at high risk for dereliction of duty!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think its okay to have those urges, but its not okay if you can imagine yourself acting on those urges!. As long as you keep seeing your therapist and keep you desire and willingness to get better then I think you'll be fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

She can't report you unless you've actually done something, or are actively planning to do something!. I highly suggest telling her, so she can help you with it before it gets too big for you to control!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I wouldn't worry about the police its illegal for your therapist to mention any thing to any one in your time with her/him just keep talking to her ask her what your asking us ask her f she would turn you in!.

Hope it helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com

She will not (and can not) 'turn you in'!. You need to tell your therapist this information because she will be able to guide you more accurately to a healthy mind set!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The fact that you revealed this to the WWW is scary; someone is probably already doing detective work on you and surveilling you!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes!. If you have a plan and a means to do this, she will turn you in!. (I hope)
