Answers:
with PTSD you will get flashbacks or nightmares or other upsetting reminders of what happened!. You may be hypervigilant about your surroundings (to keep yourself safe, even tho it isn't needed aymore)!. You won't get these things with bipolar!.

With bipolar, you will have times you need only 2 hours of sleep or maybe 4, and get all kinds of energy to do stuff!. Everyone else will seem like such a drag on you, getting in the way of your latest project!. You may feel very creative!. You may be promiscuous, and spend large amounts of money!. If depressed, you usually will sleep long periods of time (regular depression often causes insomnia instead)!. You will think slower, and maybe have trouble thinking or deciding on anything at all!. You can get mixed moods too, where you feel so very sad and full of anguish, but you are agitated beyond belief too!. I get that all the time!.

You can easily have both!. I do!. I have bipolar really bad because sexual abuse can make whatever mental illness much worse!. I did some research, and about 50-70% of people who land in a state hospital have bipolar or schizophrenia, PLUS were sexually abused!. My psychiatrists (i've had a lot of them) say that it is right, there is no question the abuse made the bipolar so bad!.

All the best to you!. If you do have both, it will help you to get therapy to deal with the PTSD issues, whatever they are!. The bipolar will get better with a regular schedule and keeping stress down, but you will need meds for that, for sure!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hun there are something that come with ptsd!. I was dx with that and then other things like major depression, bpd!. What my therapist said to me, it all depneds what state you are at when you talk to someone!. Then they dx you too!. I know pretty soon you feel like you have everything under the sun!. at lest I do!. But that is when we found out I had BPD and it make since!. you should resache it!. It is awhole bunch of illness together!. it fits me to a "T"!. don't stop fighting!. you are wroth it and hang in there hun!. I hope this makes since for you!. if you need to talk i'm here!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
