Is generic Wellbutrin SR better that generic Wellbutrin XL?!

Question: Is generic Wellbutrin SR better that generic Wellbutrin XL!?
I've recently switched from name brand Wellbutrin XL to the generic Budurpion XL for the second time!. The first time I was taking 300mg, and when I switched to generic 300mg i noticed major mood swings especially at night!. So I switched back to name brand, but I noticed the side effects were too much!.!.!.so the doc changed dosage to 150 mg!. I was flying high and doing great, when suddenly they came out with generic 150mg and I had to switch for insurance purposes!.!.!.!.and of course, it's Budurpion!. Well, one week on it and i'm going crazy already!. My question is, has anyone had the same thing happen to them with the SR!? I noticed that the generic for SR was Bupriopion, not Budurpion, is there a difference between the two generics!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have heard somewhere is that though bupriopion is no longer under patent, so the drug itself is the same, the release system of welbutrin (i forget which one) is still under patent, and that is a problem a lot of people have with switching from wellbutrin to generic!.

Im on the generic and have no problem with it, but if it is a very bad problem i believe your dr can put it as brand name nessessary, and then will have to justify it for you and insurance has to cover it!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The major difference is the Wellbutrin SR (Sustained Release) is a medicine that should be taken twice a day whereas Wellbutrin XL (Extended Release) is a once daily tablet!.

Some patients have gotten confused and switched up by accident and didn't know they were only supposed to be taking one tablet a day, and they were getting too much! Which can cause many problems! (If this is what you think it is, check with your pharmacy or doctor!)

The XL has a slightly higher risk of causing seizures, but other than that!. Those are the main differences!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

only a slight diffenence!.
Alot of times the generics come from different countries!. As long as they are manufactured in the USA you should be ok
Some that passed off from China and Mexico and Thailand had nothing but drywall and paint chippings in them!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
