Hi Gabe, this is purely speculation on my part and not gospel lol, but I am thinking it has to do with the change in seratonin levels which have so much to do with how we function!. Also many antidepressesants, as wierd as it sounds , have a sedating effect and change our metabolism!. I have a friend with the same diagnosis as you and he gained alot of wieght on his meds!. Because of the sedating effect of the meds he is on he sleeps more and because of his paranoia he stays indoors alot!. Where I am on meds for chronic depression and lost wieght (thank god as I am a big person anyway!!!! ) !. In my case the Cymbalta has decressed my constant nibbling and because it helps with my chronic pain as well helps me to be a bit more active!. I truely believe it's all in our individual body chemistry and that is why some lose and some gain!. Hope that helps some!. Best wishes! P!.S!. You seem very mature for your age and I am so glad you are accepting the help!. Keep up the good work!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
