The reason why sound wakes us when we sleep is because the ear is the only part of the body that is alert and focus while asleep!. This dates back to prehistoric times when cavemen had to be alert becuse outside dangers to them whie they selpt!. Not all animas wake from sound but almost every mammal does!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Yes!. It is a basic survival instinct!. It depends on the volume of the sound as well though!. Some people and animals can sleep through action movies in a cinema, and others can wake up from quiet keyboard tapping!.
