Why did my friend lie about cutting herself?!
Question: Why did my friend lie about cutting herself!?
A few weeks ago I told my best friend that I cut myself and she was ok with it!. She told me she had never cut herself!. Then last week she came up to my house and she had wrist bands on!. She told me that she had been cutting her wrists but she wouldnt show me them!.
She slept over at my house that night and the next morning I woke up before her and I was curious to see the cuts!. When I went over to her bed she had a short sleeved pyjama top on and there were no marks on her arms at all!.
She doesnt normally lie to anyone and she is not an attention seeking person!. I dont know why she would lie to me!.
Do you think it could be that she wanted to fit in with what I was doing!?

hm!.!.!.it's a bit odd, i can only assume that it was to try and act the same as you!. however, even though she is not normally an attention-seeking person, it may be that she was doing it for attention - it may be that really she wasn't ok with your self harm, and that she tried to make you think she was ok with it, and that she's trying to get back at you out of anger or something!. it may even be that she wanted to see your reaction - she may have intended to show you what it was like to find out that your best friend had self harmed!.
i really don't know, i'm just speculating here!.
as hard as it is, it's best to ask her yourself!. you are her best friend after all - you two are supposed to be able to trust each other, so it's only right that you should be curious/concerned!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think you're right!. She probably wanted to fit in with what you were doing!. Although she didn't actually cut herself, her behavior is indicative of someone who will eventually reach this point!.
I hope you're currently seeing a counselor for your self-injury!. I also think this would be a good idea for your friend as well!. She's obviously suffering from some sort of mental health issues!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

She probably wanted to see your reaction!. She may have 1!. wanted you to feel the scared feeling that she got when you told her!. or 2!. wanted you to feel like you arent alone in this!.

She was trying to worry you like you worried her!. I used to be a cutter!. It doesn't solve anything, so quit doing it!. I have scars all up and down my arms and legs, it is stupid!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

maybe she want u 2 feel like u could talk to her about your feelings and then u would think she understands what u are going though !!!
