addiction is when a person's body creates a physical dependence on a chemical or other things for the body to function correctly and if you were to take that away from them they would actually go through withdrawals!. I used to do cocaine and i never thought I was addicted until one day i actually found myself in front of the mirror with blood running down over my lips from my nose alone after staying up all night using alone still wanting to go find more to make sure i did not have to face reality!. Not to mention that I had known while I was using that I was actually going to violate probation due to a known drug test the next day!. Thank God that I was able to say this is enough, for some that is not the case and sometimes you don't think your addicted because you can create a dependency on virtually anything!. Did you know that you can actually become addicted to soda or eating, these are all proof that addiction is not a minor thing!. Many say that addiction is hereditary and i agree to some point but also i think that if it includes drugs it has to do with what you are surrounding yourself with!. I know I am going on forever but this is serious maybe and hopefully not for you but for the world, it is!.I had an addiction that I was lucky to overcome but if you get into more serious things you may not ever be able to overcome them, especially if you are not ready or don't want to!. So I would say to be an addict it is scary, hard and sometimes life threatening!. Most who are addicted do not realize it ever that is why having good friends and family is very helpful and if you think that you or someone else might have a problem surround yourself/them with the closest of each group and make sure they are not using!. Elements I am not sure on!. Finally I will say that once you have been addicted i think that no mater how long you have been away from whatever it was you were addicted to, that you will still have trouble without help, i still crave cocaine once in a while but i just remember the image of myself that morning and i remember being able to know who I was once again and i love being clean!. GOOD LUCKWww@Answer-Health@Com
