If you are insured, you will likely only be responsible for the co-pay (e!.g!., $20 or so)!.
If you are not insured, rates vary from practitioner to practitioner!. The following are good ballpark estimates for one clinical hour (i!.e!., 50 minutes):
$60-$90 - master's level clinician
$110 - $150 - psychologist (doctoral level)
$135 - $185 - psychiatrist (M!.D!. - writes prescriptions)

Do you or your parents have med!. insurance!? If so call your family doctor and they can recommend you to a therapist that will take your insurance!. If no insurance call around!. I called around my area for panic attacks and most private offices are outrages!. There are places for you to get help!. Go to a clinic in your area they will be able to help you!. Talk to your family and a close friend to go with you if someone with you would help going to a unfamiliar place!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
My insurance paid some and I had to pay $40, but many therapists will work with you to charge what you can afford!. My therapist said that my insurance only paid $10 anyway! Depends on where you live, too!.

My mom's insurance company found one each time I needed one, and the insurance usually pays for some of each session!. The first two I saw, we had to pay $100 each session!. The third person I saw was VERY nice and only charged $50!. I think it depends on who you go to!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
