I think I haveSchizophrenia !.Is vivid/constant day dreaming a hallucination!. ( you see & hear people, in a made up world) My day dreams I all the time are about this made up character whom is me who bithdate is 7/8/1936 & name is Pierre is like this movie star whos boyfriend is James Dean)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Individuals with schizophrenia do not live in a made-up world!. They simply have trouble understanding what is real and what is not real!. Day-dreams are not the same thing as hallucinations, day-dreams are controllable while hallucinations are not!. For schizophrenia patients, hallucinations can be very frightening and unpleasant!. They come out of nowhere and don't necessarily make sense!.
In 15 years among psychology professionals and in any of the studies I have read, never has a patient suffering from positive symptoms of schizophrenia and awaiting diagnosis has ever said "I think I have schizophrenia!." A feature of the illness is anosognosia, a lack of insight into the disease itself!. Many patients will not acknowledge the diagnosis even a decade after treatment and medication compliance, far surpassing simple denial, the patient truly does lacks an insight into their symptoms!. I think you're simply daydreaming, or maybe just plain dreaming!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
