The patient has to have a discharge plan!.
The patient also has to have an appointment scheduled with a therapist and a psychiatrist to prescribe any medications that were started or changed during the hospitalization!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Best criteria for a patient to leave the psych ward is to not have health insurance!. They will deem you no harm to yourself or others a lot quicker!.!.!.

No, I'm not joking!.

A friends daughter (borderline personality disorder) made a (almost effective) suicide attempt and once she was physically stable enough to leave the hospital they put her in the psych hospital for just a few days!.!.!.

No health insurance in the US = revolving door mental illness health care!.

Maybe she will get better CARE once her social security disability is approved!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If they signed themselfs in, they can sign themselfs out whenever, even if the Dr doesnt recomend it, as long as they are not a clear risk to themselfs or others!. If were signed in because someone found them to be a harm to themselfs or others, then whenever the Dr!. determains them to no longer be a harm to themselfs or other!.!.!.!.and issue causing that being address whatever the problem was so that they dont end up like that again!.

Either way the Dr will set up treatment plans to continue!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
