I feel depressed sometimes, like I don't deserve anything, and like I wish I were dead just so that I wouldn't be such a useless burden on the world!. I want!.!.!.to be free of it!. I'm only twelve years old but I feel like my life is ending!. What do I do!? I shouldn't be depressed; I don't have anything to complain about!. I had the same problem you do right now when i was 12!. I wanted to die!. I felt like, even though i had friends, i wasnt close to them!. They all didnt like me as much as I liked them!. I liked school, but not too much!. I loved my parents, but they got on my nerves!. Soon everything got on my nerves, I got depressed about everything!. I didnt know my purpose in life!. I wanted to kill myself!.
But I held tight, I kept my head up high!. And I am so happy I did!. 4 years later and my life is amazing!. It only took one year for it to get better!.
Trust me, your life will as well!. Day by day, you'll love it!. Just accept life and keep your chin up, because we're all here for you and we all love you!.

Depression is a chemical imbalance in your brain!. You don't have to have anything to be depressed about to be depressed!. Your brain chemistry is messed up!.

Talk with your parents about getting a doctors appointment!. First your family doctor can test your thyroid to make sure that is working ok!. Sometimes low thyroid hormone can cause depression!. That can be tested with a blood test!.

Then your doctor can suggest a psychiatrist to see to get some medication called anti-depressants that will help with your depression!.

First of all, you shouldn't be telling yourself that you "shouldn't" feel depressed!. You can't help it!. No one can!. The best thing you can do is seek out some help for yourself to improve your view on things!.

You're only twelve!. I had similar thoughts when I was your age, and I still do from time to time!. I somehow always managed to struggle through it, but it was never easy!. Hun, you need to step back from the every day stresses of life!. You are twelve!. You have no reason to feel this way!. How about you talk to your friends about it!? You parents would love to help too! Everyone is in this to help you out, if is bothering you, voice it, don't keep it bottled up!.

What always helps with me is to write it!. Get a journal and just write down what you are feeling!. Poetry helps a lot too!. Pray to God every night and understand that there is nothing to be afraid of and nothing to dwell on!.

Guilt is an emotion that rises after a wrongdoing, which may be contrary to one's own or cultural values!. Listen, first of all, and I want to stress this point to a max!. You are NOT a useless burden to the world!. You're twelve years old for crying out loud! Obviously you do not have the means to take care of yourself yet, but neither does anyone else your age!. So, in that respect, you are in the same situation as everyone else your age!. But that is just the first thing to keep in mind!.
Secondly, environment can influence how you feel, and it does, but some feelings exist deeper than the surface, you know!. You could have the whole world, and it would mean nothing if you didn't feel good! So, don't put unnecessary pressure on yourself!. You "shouldn't" be depressed!? Who says you shouln't!. Is there some rule book out there that says someone can only be depressed under these set circumstances!? No, so just be careful that you aren't subscribing yourself to too many labels!. You are likely very mature for your age, and more pressure is added to you because of that!. You "feel" more than a lot of others your age it may seem!.
