Question: How does someone know when they are ready to quit abusing drugs!?
I always hear about "bottoming out," but what does that mean!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
This is what bottoming out meant to me!. My biggest problem was mental health, but I had drug and drinking problems that were spurring it on!.

One day, I woke up, and realized that my life was destroyed!. I had no job!. My relationships were falling apart!. I was broke!. And I was surrounded by people who would hurt me for a dollar, and had done it for less!. My health was in danger, and if I didn't do something, I would never have a future!. I would be lucky to live to 30!.

That is the moment that a person can make one of two decisions!. They can chicken out, and decide to let themselves die, or they can change!.

And the people that it is possible to save will make the second decision!.

At that point, they will start asking for help!. If they are lucky, there will still be a couple people in their lives who hear their cry, and help them get started on the long road to recovery!. If they are not so lucky, they will have to do it on their own!.

That's bottoming out!. But the important thing to remember is that ANYONE can make the second choice, no matter how screwed up everything is!. You can always make the decision to get better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think its different for all people!. For some it may be losing everything their kids, job, home, health!. And even than that doesnt mean they are going to quit using drugs!. Drug abusers bottom out everyday and all it does is make them want more!. So it is different for all people!. In my opinion you have to want to quit!. And its better to quit before you loose everything!. Most abusers use drugs because they can't deal with the problems in their life!. Somehow it makes them not care about anything or anyone!. If a person really wants to quit they need support from family or drug free freinds!. They need to take themselves out of that kind of environment!. This is just my opinion, im no expert!. But i hope i have helped in some way!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think you simply ask yourself:

"Is what I am doing harming or benefiting me!? If it's harming me, do I want to make the commitment to change!?"

It's like one road with two exits!. You choose whether it's time for you to quit because honestly, if you don't- the drug will ultimately choose you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

in my opinion it would be like waking up one morning maybe feeling like crap and wondering to yourself " why do i keep doing this" and feeling that there is something to live for!. I hope things go well for you!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
