Sunsets and Roses I was 15 many moons ago;26yrs ago to be exact and yes You can have circumstantial depression or what mom and dad used to call "Mad because you can't get your way"!. I thank them for that now even though I still choose the hard path!. Being miserable about things done in the past or by those whom may have hurt you can lead to depressional thoughts!. I didn't realize it at 15, it was only when I reach 33 that what Dad and Mom said made sense"The first part of healing your past is forgiving yourself and others also"!. Sunset there are imbalances of the brain but there is not one neurologists out there that can claim to know the full function of the brain; however you have controll over your mind, body and soul!. Ever have a queit place you'd liked to go where you can just look up at the wonders using all of your senses and have no worries!. Thats inner peace!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

at 15, you are too young to be diagnosed with clinical depression!. You have hormonal changes going on, and will have til you are 20, that make your thought patterns rather circular and prone to negativity!. As you mature, and you realize that the past is just that!.!.!.passed, gone, finito!.!.!.you begin to stabilize and your thought patterns become normal!. Clinical depression can only be diagnosed in adults, and yes is due to a lack of certain neurochemicals!.
Situational (circumstantial) depression happens to everyone from time to time, and is a natural result of something you percieve as negative occurring in your life, when the situation changes!.!.!.the depression is gone!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It very well could be a chemical imbalance!. Neurotransmitters in your brain like dopamine and serotonin regulate your mood!. A decrease in serotonin can contribute to depression!. So, depression is a very real thing!. Something that you can do for yourself is start to take vitamins!. They will provide or you what you aren't getting in your diet!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, because I've experienced it!. I had a lot of problems in my home at your age and I was diagnosed with depression, and it only lifted when I was able to get out of my home, and work on my issues by going to counselling!. Eventually through that process I was able to become independent and get my own apartment, start working, went to college and now I work with families for in-home support!. I suggest going to a therapist or counsellor to acurately access your mental health and go from there!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Actually, children and adolescents can be diagnosed with depression, although that might depend on your country, I don't know!. In the UK they can!. If you are feeling down or "depressed" as a result of bad things happening, then that is normal, and not clinical depression!. It still might be worth seeing your doctor though!. It may be that you would benefit from talking to a therapist or counsellor to sort things out in your head a bit!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
