ive been cutting for 5+ years now,
and i dont find it to be that big of a deal!.

its how i deal with my emotions,
and i know what im doing,
and i know it can kill me very easily,
but i honestly dont care anymore!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's a big deal because one slip and you could die!. But you already know that!.

It is also a big deal because it's a masochistic act, something that society does not accept!.

In my opinion, cutting yourself because you are sad or depressed is equivalent to drinking, smoking, starving yourself, over eating, and doing drugs because you are sad or depressed!. They are all harmful to you!. But because cuts are something people can see, they tend to cause a stir!.

Cutting is very similar to drug use because for many people the act can produce a sort of high, a rush of adrenaline!. This feeling of release when you're feeling down is what causes people to become addicted!. Addiction is NEVER a good thing, which is my personal reason for believing cutting is bad!.

You say you don't cut, but just in case you do, next time you're feeling sad, angry, or depressed, go for a walk or run instead!. That will produce a healthy type of adrenaline and won't leave a nasty scar!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It can become somewhat addictive!. !. !.the people who are true self harmers can get out of hand and cut themselves so badly thus bleeding to death!. I used to cut and still have scars from it!. I cut my arms near my wrists and my legs!. I lived in the north so I was able to hide it but during summer, if I was asked about it, I would make up a story!. When I was cutting near my wrist, imagine if I got out of hand and cut real deep and bled to death!. !. !. It could easily happen!. I didn't know how to handle my stress and internal pain!. !. !.I was tired of feeling like crap and I wanted to feel pain somewhere else!. !. not inside!. !. so I cut to redirect the pain elsewhere!. I knew what I was doing but I didn't know how nor did I care at the time how bad I was cutting or bleeding!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yup!.
im a cutter!.
and i know what i've gotten my self into!.
but i don't really care!.
i don't consider it much of a big deal until you're doing it to actually kill yourself [slitting your wrists]
and actually i consider it "normal"
of course maybe im just "weird"Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is a big deal because it is a very unhealthy way of handling problems!. It also usually is only one symptom of a lot of symptoms usually of Borderline Personality Disorder!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well i had a friend who cut herself!. I cant even explain the worry it causes!. I dont know how to explain it!. But cutting effects more people then the cutter!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Cutting is self-harmful behavior and a poor coping skill that gets a lot of attention (when it shouldn't)!. Someone who cuts is in pain (either past or present), and does need help!.!.!.not hysterics!. kjlWww@Answer-Health@Com
