Question: I just typed in the hated word DEPRESSION I have it !.Any help!?

Have it, but don't own it!. Don't refuse to dothe things you kow you should just because you found out you are depressed!. This is hard!. Really hard, but this is an illness that can be controlled!.!.!.MUST be controlled or else it WILL control you!. Being controlled by depression in itself is depressing and you have to find things that interest you, that you like doing and that you want to do!. Havesome time everyday when you force yourself to do these things if you have to and that will give you something to work towards and look forward to!.

As for medication!.!.!.!.it depends on the type of depression that you have!. Is it a chemical one (imbalance in hormones in the brain)!? Or a reactive one (where something in your life has gone wrong and made you depressed)!?
A chemical one can and should be helped by taking something, but a reactive depression needs counselling to help you understand why it has happened and give you things to do instead of sitting around feeling more depressed than you should!.
Go and see your doctor who will be able to find out what type you have and then look at the treatment options that are around!. Please don't despair, there is hope for you :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

As a depressive I can tell you there is only one solution for this illness!. You control your life and your feelings totally you have to kick yourself in the rear end and then go out and do whatever is necessary for the continuance of and the improvement of your life and current situation!. Don't waste a penny on therapists drugs or anything else just make up your mind to effect a cure!. Ultimately that is the only way!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i have severe depression with psychotic features, so i know how hard it is!.

I get depressed too!.

I found the best way to handle it is to get melodramatic about it and out emo the emos!.
Do Not listen to country music, that stuff will drive you nuts!
(a lot of the rock and roll crap is just as bad)

Oddly enough good blues tunes help, they are so extreme that you end up smiling instead of depressed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have gone threw the same thing !! Depression reaches the randomest people!. Are you sad cause of certain reasons!? If so, fix them! Also hang out with some good friends that wont knock you down!. You should choose friends wisely, they caused ME depression!. counceling sounds like a good ideo too, but if you dont like that kind of idea, you should think about making yourself feel like a better person!. I have three words for you, support group, medication, and counseling!. OK so it was five words!. But those things will sustain you while you heal!. Those things will help you make it through the days when you think you can't take it anymore!. Try it!. It works!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

get to a doctor he will put you on anti depressants i also agree with the previous answer group support, talking about the cause of your depression and counseling all help!. and this is something you just cannot snap out of you need helpWww@Answer-Health@Com

If you are truely depressed then you need more help than anyone on Yahoo Answers can provide!. You don't say how old you are, but you need to get to a mental health clinic as soon as possible!. There are medications than can turn your life aroundWww@Answer-Health@Com
