Technically, it's a disorder or an illness!. As neuroscience advances, it's gaining more recognition in the scientific community as a disease!. My preference is any of the three!.
Yeh, like Lady Mala, I prefer Manic Depression over Bipolar!. There are three main states - mania, depression, and mixed (manic and depressed at the same time)!. Manic Depression is descriptive and covers all!. Bipolar, two poles, lol, that name is just plain stupid!. ;)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't really care all that much!. It's technically a disorder, but illness is fine!. I still use manic-depressive, cuz that's what it really is! I just dislike the people who judge me for it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I think either works!. It is really the context in which a person is using the terms!. Is there any judgement attached!? So often there is!. The stigma that still surrounds mental illness is astounding!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
i don't care what they call it as long as they don't label me as a bad person!.
