Yet another Bipolar Question...?!

Question: Yet another Bipolar Question!.!.!.!?
So with being bipolar there is either a MANIC side or a DEPRESSED side!? Is there EVER an in between!? Do the meds make it "balanced" (as much as possible) or is it straight up one or the other!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
You can be depressed, manic, hypomanic (subthreshhold manic), mixed (hypo/manic and depressed), or normal!. Some ppl go years between episodes!. Some ppl rapid cycle having episodes daily, weekly, monthly, or at least four times a year!. Without meds, I'd cycle weekly now!. With meds, there's only a minor fluctuation hardly anyone notices and those who do pretty much chalk up to normal mood variation!. As someone else also indicated, I too work closely with my psychiatrist to keep things level!.

This is a good site for an overview of bipolar!.

This is one of the best books on the subject!. It is a memoir by the head of Behavior Medicine at John Hopkins!. It's also a good example of what a person with severe bipolar can achieve!. http://www!.amazon!.com/Unquiet-Mind-Memoi!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Depends!. It can be very balanced!. Takes awareness and good habits!.

The meds may help!. They can cause problems so stay in good communication with the doc!. Keep track of the details!.

Mine used to be mostly balance!. Good friends and happy activities!. But it has gotten worse and I'm more one end or the other lately!. I think its the weather this summer!. Tonight I blame it on the moon (almost full)!.

Be sure to learn a good meditation!. It really helps alot!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi, yes there are in between states when your mood can be stable within the "normal" range!. For some people this is achieved with drugs (but drugs do not work for everybody), for others this balance can be achieved without taking medication!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
