Does journals help anyone?!


Question: Does journals help anyone!?
because they help me! i just realized this summer that when i write my emotions down then sometimes expressing them its so much better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sometimes, I like to write down what happened that day so that when I try to recall events in the future, I can easily tell what day it happened on!. But sometimes I'll write in it when I'm sad or angry, when no one wants to hear my complaining!. I don't look back at those depressing entries though!. In one way, a journal is like a collection of humorous nearly forgotten stories of your own life!. But in another way, it is like a trash can for all your unwanted feelings and thoughts!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I keep a journal and i think its fantastic!. Its good because you write down what you feel, why you felt that way - i think its a healing process for the inner soul, to understand why you feel the way you feel!. Also, when you look back on your journal, you can see how far you've come in life, how things used to be, how things have changed!. I think keeping a journal is a way of encouraging yourself to keep going in life!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, writing down your feelings and describing events that led you to feel your emotion is one way to work through any issues!. I also find that when I write down things that worry me in to my journal/worry book, that it makes me feel better!.

For example, if I have several things that worry me then I list them in my book then CLOSE the book!. Once you write them down initially, you cannot go back and look at the list for a day or two!. When I finally go back and look at the list, I find that some of my worries were "silly" or solved and I cross them out!. If there are worries left on the list that seem legitimate, then I star them and talk them over with my husband or friend!.

I find this strategy extremely helpful!. It's helped me reduce a great deal of anxiety and depression without taking medication!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have been journaling for years and it helps me a great deal!. Sometimes I just write out what is on my mind and other times there is something specific I focus on (i!.e!. a bad day, argument with a friend, stressful situations etc!.) I find that it helps me to see things more clearly!. It also helps me to find solutions to things that are going on!. Journaling also helps me in therapy because if something comes up between sessions I jot it down and bring it with me!. Keep on journaling!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Writing in my journal helps me immensely!.

It helps me organize my thoughts and get my feelings out!. I especially like to record my dreams in it!. I put stars next to them and my "aha!" thoughts to review!. Otherwise, I tend not to read what I've written!.

That's the great thing about journals, you can write silly or nonsensical things in them and not have to be apologetic!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yep, journals definitely do help!. i have my regular journal and then i actually have a hell journal!.

the hell journal is red, and all i put inside it is my really bad thoughts, like "i hate myself" or "i am a bad person" or whatever!. that way, my real journal can be free of the really negative stuff and can be used only for hopeful thoughts!.

once i fill the hell journal, i'm going to burn it, and then all my bad thoughts will be POOF! up in smoke!

and with a journal by my side, it always helps me write down how i feel and whats bugging me, so my situation doesnt get worse!.
but i LOVE writing in journals!.
i cant live without them!.

they wont let me have one!.

They don't help me at all!.

I will write down once, and then think the idea is stupid!.

My solution turned out to be forgetting what was going on, and ignoring it, which doesnt actually help anything, and lets me fall behind!.

Crying is something that helps me get over things temporarily though!. I guess thats why sometimes you hear people say 'a good cry makes things better' like!.!. a GOOD cry!? lol!. It's only temporary though!.

Definitely yes!.
Writing a journal allows you to open your innermost thoughts to yourself!. This allows you to be in touch with your inner self which will straighten your outlook of life!. You won't be ridiculed, criticised, or feel a loss of privacy in sharing your innermost thoughts when writing in a journal!.

yes! definetly, there was a time where i was going through a very rough period and honostly if i hadnt written in a journal i would have gone depressed or started cutting myself because i had no way to express myself other than that!. just make sure that you keep your journal in a safe secretive place, mines hidden somewhere vrey safe!.my family knows, and they all know they're not allowed to touch it!. i definetly suggest start writing in one!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It helps you! And that is all that counts!. I admire your discipline for doing that!. Therapists recommend writing your feelings down, and it is so good when people follow through and actually see the benefit!. Some people prefer talking to others!. You are more reserved!. It's all about what works for you!.

Guess what!. There was a study done on depressed people where people were told to journal everyday!. Another group of depressed people did not journal!.

The results!.!.!.!.the depressed people who journaled felt MUCH better and required less medication than the others!.

So, journalling has been proven to help people feel better in scientific studies!.

sometimes it does it helps you write your feelings out on paper like my bro he used to write his emotions on a piece of paper then light it on fire or like me i express myself by writing poetry about my day or something keep a journal with you and write everydayWww@Answer-Health@Com

I'm 40 something I've kept a journal for many many yrs when i pass on, it leaves my loved ones something to remember me by if i don't have lots of money to pass on i have memories and wisdom to pass on!. maybe it will become a Friday nite movie!.!. one can only hope!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i'm sure it helps many ppl but it just doesn't work 4 me :p i use to keep a journal when i was younger, i recently got hold of it and i was laughing at what i had written , but now i just can't be bothered to write anything hahaWww@Answer-Health@Com

I keep a lot bottled up inside, so i feel as if a journal allows me to let it out without judging or interrupting me!. Its a good way to express how you feel without going to extreme measures!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes! absouletly! there's some things that i feel the need to tell someone, but i just dont know who, so i write it down!. i've been keeping a journal for about a year and a half now and i write in it every nightt :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
