Should I get therapy, or would I just be wasting my own time?!

Question: Should I get therapy, or would I just be wasting my own time!?
I saw a therapist twice, then stopped going!. I had a lot of things I'd hoped to be helped with and get to the bottom of, but all she seemed to care about was my depression, which was really only a side-effect!. I know it sounds stupid, but I was afraid to talk to her about it!.

Now my depression has been gone since January and I'm a very happy person!. But I know I'm still not "healthy" mentally!. I avoid dating like the plague because I know I'll either have to act like I'm someone I'm not, or be myself - which I wouldn't wish on anyone!.

So I want to talk to a therapist because I'm worried about my future!. However, money's really tight and I don't want to waste my time and someone else's!. I'm extremely stubborn and can't see myself changing much how I think and act!. I also don't want the therapist thinking I'm pathetic, whining about life when so many people have it way worse!. I don't even think I can trust one enough to tell them the half of it!.

What should I do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Ups and downs in your mood are common with depression!. Yes, you should definitely talk to a therapist if you think that you have a problem!. Depression can be very serious even though you may feel better at times!. It's the times when you aren't feeling okay that are critical!. A therapist would never think that you are pathetic or wasting their time!. They are there to help!. All health care professionals carry unbiased attitudes!. If they thought that way, they wouldn't be doing what they're doing to help you!. They're there for you, to listen to you, and offer the guidance that you need!. So, in short, if you really feel that you need to speak with someone, you should!. It's best to talk with someone on a professional, rather than personal level when delving deep into your emotional problems!. Keep in mind as I said before, therapists carry a non biased, open opinion of you, and are there to help!. So no one will be judging you on a negative level!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

lol kinda sounds like when i went 2 a therapist
i hated talking cuz i felt pathetic
but also i felt that my problems weren't rly beyond me and i just stopped going and i'm fine
anyways about U
my personal experince is that the more u think u have an actual mental problem whether an imbalance or w-e
the less likely it is u actually have that problem
therapist can't rly get 2 the bottum or YOUR problems only YOU can
they can help sometimes by making u think
i would try self help for a while
writing in a journal helps
make sure you are keeping up a healthy lifestyle!.!.!.AKA
sleep as much as ur body needs every night[idk ur age but for teens its aroun 9 hours and adults 7-8]
and eat healthy
it's amazing how eating all the balanced healthy stuff
improves your mind and body
and work on confidence
waking up and putting on a smile thinking how great life is
slef -help/confidence building books are great!!!!
