Is Borderline Personality disorder biological or behavioral?!

Question: Is Borderline Personality disorder biological or behavioral!?
I am told by a recovering Borderline, that he made "choices" in his relationships, yet I read somewhere that it is a disorder of the neurological system that originates the inability to moderate emotions!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The research I have done regarding Borderline Personality Disorder indicates that the origins can be determined by innumerate factors including Biological and Behavioural !.!.!.

A study by Joesph Santoro Ph!.D!. and Michael Risbe M!.D!. states that two common factors are early childhood Psychotraumatic Stress (PTS) and Biologic Vulnerability (BV)!.

I would have to say that a person with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) is perfectly capable of making decisions and choices in relationships and other areas of their life!.!.!. What is apparent with the disordered person in my life, is that these choices are very often based on their internal feelings, which can be irrational and sourced from internal issues and not based on reality as we percieve it!. Their perception of reality is very skewed depending on the traumas, events that have occured in their life leading up to the present!.

For instance!.!.!.!. if our partner were to say they were going out to dinner without us because they wanted some alone time with their friends, we may feel a bit slighted, but after a chat to ensure they still hold us in the same regard we may wish them a happy night out!.!.!.!. someone with BPD may view this as confirmation that they are unloveable, worthless, that their partner does not want to be around them, that they are not worthy of being around people etc!. etc!. etc!. and will therefore react from this heigntened sense of anxiety and pain!.!.!.hence the inability to moderate emotions!.!.!. BPD's in my experience feel things much more intensely and are unable to rationalise these feelings, I believe they are stuck in past traumas!.!.!. without coming to terms with the trauma!.!.!.they cannot then differentiate between the event triggering emotions now and the event back then triggering emotions in response to the events now!.!.!. if that makes sense lol
